Judging by the reviews, I'm guessing this place stepped up a lot recently. I found my experience pleasant - it's a budget stay but it meet those expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with bathroom amenities. No breakfast provided but coffee was available in the lobby. The staff at the front desk was very friendly as well. The location was very convenient. It's just a short distance from the airport and close to a ton of restaurants and stores. The building is big, with plenty of parking out front. Elevator available as well.

In mid-October of 2024, Our experience with RUDE ROOF INN, the name needs to change to reflect the truth. If I could give this place a 0 Star, I would, based on the VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior of the Female person operating the front desk! We drove all night (12 hours) to get here to see my father, who was in the local hospital in critical condition. We went here first, as they seemed to be the most reasonably priced for the area and we were uncertain how long we would need to stay. When we got there, nobody was at the front desk. A very nice cleaning lady finally walked by and was kind enough to tell us the lady who operates the front desk had gone to the bank and would be back in 15 minutes. Well, 25 minutes later, a very sour-looking woman strolled in and made sure not to make eye contact with us. She went behind the counter and then hid in the back. We had to go up to the desk and call out to get her attention, even though she knew we were there the moment she walked in. She finally strolled out and "arrogantly" said check-in is at 2:00 pm and she would assist us then. We then let her know we did not have a reservation and just had questions about our potential stay here. She reiterated that check-in is at 2:00 pm and she would assist us then. We informed her that she was being very unprofessional and that was no way to treat potential customers. We then told her we would reach out to her Corporate office to advise them of her behavior and she very snidely smiled at us and waved goodbye. Needless to say, we immediately left. We ended up at a hotel that was closer to the hospital and the people at the front desk were cordial and very kind to us. They offered us a price that was cheaper than the "Rude Roof Inn" and on a day-by-day basis due to our circumstances. They also took care of all our relatives that followed, offering them the same low rates and kindness. We were there for almost 2 weeks, so they lost a lot of business because of her.In hindsight, that very rude lady did us a favor! After looking at their reviews online, looks like we dodged a bullet! So remember, check the reviews, ALWAYS!

Stayed here for two nights from August 14-16th because I was in El Paso for a couple of days.Pros: Close to stores and restaurants. Nice view of the city. Room comes with its own microwave and fridge. TV has HBO. Housekeeping was very kind. It was only about $60 a night. Cons: Found some bugs in the bathroom. Only hot water came out of the shower head which I guess is better than cold water. You can hear everything outside. Some guest can be rather loud throughout the night but it was ok with me because I sleep through everything. Definitely a budget hotel. The guy working the front desk on Monday night was rude. This seems like a place where illegal activities take place. Bottom line this room costed me about $60 a night which is what this place is worth. Love the price but next time I'm in El Paso, I'm gonna opt for a better hotel even if I have to pay more.

For what it is, which is an average priced hotel, the place is fine. The beds are unfortunately subpar. They are definitely on the firm side and seem to be cheap side making for a uncomfortable night as far as I'm concerned. It seems a though the hotel has received some renovation but could use a little more. If you're looking for a place to only grab a few hours sleep while traveling, its fine. I personally won't be back due to the beds.

DO NOT BOOK / STAY HERE!!!!!!-My room was filthy. The bathroom was worse than gas station bathrooms. The floors had not been mopped and you could see the dirt and grime-There was no running water in all rooms for a while. When the water finally came back on at night, my sink only had boiling hot water (no cold water) and the shower pressure was only a trickle. The water that was coming out was brown. There is no way the plumbing is up to code-Bathroom door could not close at all because the corner of the door hits the door frame-At check in they said there was 24/7 coffee and tea (since they no longer served breakfast due to COVID), but when I checked the table they set out for coffee & tea, they did not have hot water or tea bags. When I asked them to provide hot water, they said they didn't have any. Total scamI asked to switch rooms but they were fulled booked that night and they would not move me to another Red Roof Inn.I hightailed it out of there and stayed at the Courtyard instead. I've stayed at lower priced places that are not even close to being this dirty and ghetto. I'm honestly shocked by my experience and will not be staying at this Red Roof Inn or any other Red Roof Inn properties in the future.

I had an issue with the Red Roof website that resulted in me being double charged. I tried to resolve this issue many times over the last few days. 2 of the 3 front desk associates were very rude. Someone named Ericka just hung up on me when I was trying to get in contact with the GM. She literally picked up the phone just to hang up on me immediately. This whole ordeal was insanely unprofessional and now I have to go through the painful process of disputing the charge with my credit card. I've stayed with many red roofs all over the country since I travel often with my dog, but never again since not even the corporate line could help outside of pointing me to the unresponsive GM. I would have paid over double at another place had I known this headache was coming. It's not even about the money but the principle and professionalism.

Honestly, the room was clean glad I didn't have to deal with what issues other customers had. Everything worked. Check in was easy, I did ask for a first floor room because I didn't want to bring all the luggage upstairs but the lady in the front desk said she didn't have any and put us somewhere near the elevator in a ADA room, basically a room w someone w disabilities which meant we didn't have a full vanity. Ehh it was one night and not bad for thr price I paid.

I had the worst experience at red roof this weekend. I came to El Paso for my father's funeral. I reserved a room for two nights. I was busy trying to focus with funeral services and I missed the check out time. The manager in charge didn't tried to contact me to see if I wanted to Stay longer, instead, they just took my bags out, with all my personal items. I have traveled and stay in different hotels and I never have experience something like this. I am will never stay here or recommend Red Roof in.

My first time staying at a red roof. Never again! I went into the room, and there was a horrible extremely strong odor. no toilet paper. The non-skid strips in the tub were lifting and look dirty. Went downstairs asked for toilet paper and asked what the smell was in the room and Erica told me that was from cleaning and sanitizing. It did not smell anything near a cleaning product. The fan would not work so I could not circulate the air nor open any windows. Left the main door open to try to get some of that smell out. they never offered to move me to a different room. All the other hotels in the area were booked so we couldn't change hotels. The next day, my significant others asthma was horrifically acting up and it was due to whatever was in that room that they were trying to mask. when we were leaving, we passed one of the cleaning ladies cleaning a room and it smelled like Pine-Sol, which is a cleaning product. Our room smelled nothing like that. When I went to check out, I saw a case of what appeared to be sprays of air freshener.I called to complain regarding this, and Erica told me that they had to used a spray some chemical to cover up that someone previously smoked in that room. I got upset and she told me that David the general manager will call me back. I left a few messages and every time I called she said she would transfer to his line. She didn't know if he was there. there was no answer nor a call back. I called back the next day and I thought it was her again and this time she said her name is Sarah yet she sounded just like Erica. then I found out through the customer service line that Erica was the manager of the location as she was the only one at this location today. So Erica the manager right out lied to me! UNacceptable Definitely hate being lied to, and I don't recommend this place especially if you have breathing problems.

Where do I begin. Not the greatest service upon arrival. One luggage rack. No help taking it upstairs to our room. Bathroom smelled of urine. We had to check out early. Never staying there again.
