What a unique taco experience i had tonight! Never have i ever had a flavor infused corn tortilla for tacos until this magician of a chef made it happen! So first of all, this guy makes, presses, and cooks his own tortillas right in front of you. The ones he served at the Rubiks Yelp event was Wild Cherry flavored tortillas! He also had the choice of either lemon pepper catfish, steak, or a chorizo pork option i believe. The steaks he topped off with some kind of corn and black bean salsa which was superb! And he also had a sauce he topped them all off with. I cant remember the name but i settled for magic sauce lol. It was overall a magical experience of a taco! He will never serve the same tortilla neither. He has experimented with blue gatorade, cilantro, chile lime, strawberry, mango, skies the limit!So the only downside was naturally the wait for such magnificeny tacos. They are considerably small tacos, thus i would still be hungry after the 2 tacos i ate in a matter or seconds but waited close to 10 mins or so. Which was ok except that i was really hungry. They were also $2 a taco which was rather pricey for a small taco. But the fresh, unique, and high quality of the taco overall can justify it for the most part. Still, i wish i left feeling more satisfied and full. All in all though, great experience. The chef has a great personality which reflects through his work and craftmanship of his food. Defonitely worth trying again next time we visit Rubiks!
