I would gladly pick a mom and pop theater like this over any corporate stadium seating theater. This 2 screen theater is a throwback in time, reminding me of what theaters were like back in the day. GREAT Sound system and picture quality. Vintage seats. Popcorn was good, and the soda came with a free refill. They had an assortment of sweets as well. Air conditioned and very comfortable (seems like years ago it was a swamp cooler). Glad we have this movie house in Alpine.

Popped in here on a trip through Alpine. Hadn't been to a movie theater in a long while due to the pandemic, and was looking forward to sitting in the dark with a popcorn and a soda and enjoying a flick. Caught the 930 showing of News of the World. I was the only person at the screening that night, so had a bit of time to talk to Avinash Rangra, who was manning the register and the snack bar. He told me his son owned the place, and that he had bought it in 1980. That came as no surprise, as the simple, two-screen theater reminded me of the Lincoln Cinemas - the long-since shuttered movie house in my hometown I went to every weekend growing up. Only difference was the Lincoln had many more gummi bears stuck to the screens.Tickets were reasonably priced at 7 bucks, and the snack bar had the interesting option of a big, fat pickle, which I had to grab. Really enjoyed my visit and hope others support the Rangra as spots like this are few and far between nowadays. They need our support.

Excellent theater. New movies, cheap tickets, cheap concessions, Alpine is lucky to have it. Check it out.
