The owner makes and repairs all different styles and types of shoes, boots and etc. I brought in a pair of nice loafers that are suede and they fade very easily and wear on the right heel as I drive. He was able to restore them to almost looking brand new as the soles and interior are fine; I just needed the exterior to be refreshed. I would highly recommend his store and services! You will be impressed!

I brought in an old pair of Tony Lama boots to see if they could put some work boot soles on them. I've had a problem with them being slippery like dress shoes especially when I ride my Harley. Mr. Soto resoled them with a non-slip sole and even took care of my scuffs. My sister bought a used pair of shoes and he fixed the Velcro and dyed them to make them look new. Highly recommend!

Lorenzo did an amazing job on my boots! The soles on my boots were worn and the heel had broken off. He was able to fix them and got them back to me sooner than expected. Lorenzo even clean and shined them for me. Without reservation, I highly recommend this business.

I have a shorter leg and need to have my shoe built up with a lift. Lorenzo did a fantastic job, and I've had work done all over the western states for many years, so I know good work when I see it. The lift is barely noticeable in both my hiking shoes and Birkenstocks. I highly recommend this shop, if Lorenzo can do this kind of work on an orthopedic lift, he can do anything.

I have a couple of pair leather Skechers that started coming apart the sole was sepseating from the leather not easy to fix these were my favorite shoes. Lorenzo fixed both pairs to like new Very reasonable cost fast service very friendly. what a great find !! I read a negative review on this site it has to be bogus. For one thing it made no sense. Lorenz's work deserves better than five stars.

Excellent cobbler shop in Las Cruces. I had slowly been building a small pile of shoes that needed repair from new soles, soles and heels, as well as a tear in a pair of suede boots. I have a habit of destroying heels and they are the one item of clothing that I am quite rough on.Additionally, all of my shoes that needed repair are all specialty shoes that don't have typical components and he double checked with me that his materials were acceptable as replacements.I am glad to see that my fav pair of boots will have many more miles ahead of them since they are no longer made and I was hoping I could get another 4 years out of them and they were even polished when I didn't even request it. Turn around time was faster than when I've lived in other places and a quality job all around. The cost to repair 4 pairs of shoes was completely reasonable and considerably less than what it cost me to get my shoes resoled in other places. If I need more shoes repaired in the future I will definitely be going back!

Two years ago I brought a new pair of cowboy boots here to have a rubber sole put on the leather sole, which is what I do with all my shoes to protect the leather, and also so they don't slip. He did the work, charged me around $70 and I left a happy customer. The other day I noticed that the soles are coming off on both boots. I've worn these boots maybe 12 times in two years. I have other pairs of boots that I wear besides these and I don't wear boots in hot weather, which in LC is easily six months out of the year. When I do wear them it is for a few hours and then back in the closet. I showed him that the soles were coming off and he asked did I walk in oil. I shrugged. Like what, oil on the asphalt in a parking lot, oil stains on the street, yeah, probably from time to time (think about it: I wanted soles on there to protect the leather from oil/water/soil, whatever, because the boots last longer and the leather doesn't get stained). I told him I was wearing them the other day when it rained and noticed the soles that he originally put on separating from the boot. He nodded his head, like there's your culprit right there (like it's my fault they are separating because I walked on a wet surface gasp!! and stepped on asphalt oil stains!!!). Then he asked did I want new soles or repair of the existing ones (they still looked new, which should have indicated to him that I don't wear them much). I said whatever you think. He said he thought he could fix them the way they were and keep the existing soles. He wrote up the ticket and said $27+. I asked why he was charging me. He said well, if it had been just a month and they were coming off I wouldn't charge you, but since it's been two years...I told him that I've got boots 10-15 years old that I had soles put on and they are still doing fine (and that's true, and I've worn them in rain, snow, walked on asphalt that has oil, in sand, blah blah blah). I could tell he wasn't happy about doing it for free and then he finally agrees to repair them for no charge. I left the shop but the whole time I'm thinking, all I'm gonna get is some half-ass job because he's pissed off at having to do the work for free and I know those boots will need repair again. So I turned around and went back in, told him forget it, and took the boots back. I took them to Landis, where they do professional work and would have taken them there in the first place but they had an incident a couple years ago that shut down the business for a while. Owning a business isn't just about the quality of work that you do, it's also about how you treat your customers. When YOUR shoddy work results in repairs being needed, don't blame the customer for your failure to do the job right the first time.
