Pollos Asados Rio Grande

If you're looking for delicious and authentic tacos, this is the spot! Such amazing food and fast good service. I highly recommend giving it a try for a quick lunch break. Don't forget to get a Mexican Coke with your meal, the best drink with the tacos.

I'm also from San Diego and we have great taco shops but this place deserves all the credit! Checks all my boxes... Delicious little TJ taco sized flour tortillas (I prefer flour over corn), tacos were accompanied by sour cream and creamy jalapeño hot sauce (Two of my favorite Mexican condiments), fairly priced for a filling 4 taco plate, and I was allowed 2 chicken and 2 Carne asada. Both were delicious. Thank God this place isn't closer to home because they'd get all my money.

The chicken here was pretty darn good! Being that it's in the name sometimes you don't know what you're gonna get, Yelp showed mixed reviews. But I'm so glad we stopped. The corn tortillas were freshly made. The chicken had so much flavor. The salsa was tasty! The drive thru was quick! This is definitely authentic! We will be back.

Two entrances on opposing side of building. The parking lot is a little small, but it was fairly empty when I went Friday evening. I ordered the whole chicken with the rice and beans side and lamb birria tacos. It came with green sauce, which was creamy and had a bit of heat.The lamb birria hits the spot when you crave birria, but it wasn't extraordinary. The chicken was grilled well and not dry. The chicken meal came with several corn tortillas on the side, two rice sides, and one charro beans side. Both sides were delicious. The horchata was good as well. Clean bathrooms!! There was one fly that kept buzzing around me at the table though, which I found annoying Will be back for their chicken and sides!

We stopped here for lunch and it was a little hard to find. Waze was saying it was on the other side of the road and it wasn't. We just happened to find it when we turned around to go back home. We ordered the chicken quesadillas and Carne asada taco with 4 drinks and it was $33 which is a little expensive but oh well. The food was good. Not the best but not the worst. The carne asada meat could be softer but had a good flavor. Would i come back probably not but thats because there are far too many other places to get the same thing for cheaper.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food! The chicken and lamb birria tacos were incredible and love the green salsa sauce served with it! Great horchata and service as well.

Get the whole chicken! The birria tacos were good too. Decently priced. As far as the wait is concerned. Not bad either.

I grew up in San Diego so I'm officially a taco snob. And this place was amazing. Went with the taco deal they had. The carne asana is tense and juicy. It was not safe around me.

Food sucks and TOO expensive for me. I did not like the service either . The food tasted like if it was from yesterday or the day before.
