Planet Marfa

Cool, laid back place and it was always open during our long weekend trip to Marfa. Shady, eclectic and cool! This place had a mix of locals and tourists. Beer and cocktails are on the menu. Live music was scheduled to happen later in the evening. Grab a drink and wander around! There is a teepee, school bus, elevated patio deck, bar games and lots of tables.

We had a group of 10 that drove across the U.S. & Canada to Marfa to celebrate my 50th birthday. We visited Planet Marfa late afternoon after a few stops and made ourselves at home here. We enjoyed several cocktails, played ping pong and enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was super friendly (staff and fellow patrons). The vibe here is perfect... relaxed and chill. Drinks were on point. I could have stayed longer but we had several other stops to make. I will certainly be back sooner than later! Also, I must add that one friend didn't realize he lost his wallet until the following day. He retraced his steps back here. They weren't open yet, but some lovely gentleman let him in to look around. He did indeed find his wallet. Wonderful place!

One of the coolest places I have ever been to. I recently visited marfa for the first time and quickly learned how early everything closes. Planet Marfa is the main spot where you can find great drinks and food late night. I absolutely loved that they had gluten free options. I had the vegan/gluten free pizza two nights in a row and it was just as delicious everytime. The overall aesthetic was so cool. I have never seen a place like this. There are so many different themed spaces for you to hang out.

Fun outdoor space with an upbeat atmosphere. The bar was busy, but the staff was attentive. The food arrived quickly and was tasty.

Spunky place with a very chill vibe. Best place in town for a midday hang out!! Came for some before dinner drinks and wish they had more cocktail options

One of the coolest, most unique bars I've been to. It definitely had a hipster feel with a southwestern twist, which pretty accurately describes Marfa as a town. Not a ton of unique cocktails or drink options, but they have the classics and that's all you need. It's a super casual place and I think it would be so fun to go back for some live music.

Amazing beer garden with a very cool observation deck (which can get quite warm in the high elevation, late winter sun) and an eclectic crowd. This is a proper small town dive bar. Astrid was cool but efficient at the bar, and you can literally find an interesting conversation at every turn. Serve yourself peanuts in the shell are a perfect touch, and the music was excellent. This is an authentic dive bar in a town that is losing its authenticity. Good job and best wishes, Planet Marfa.

Stopped by for an adult beverage. Very unique and nice. The bartenders were friendly and fast. Fairly busy for a rainy day, and the live band was great. Enjoyed the bus since it was wet outside from the rain previously in the day.

Yall know I love myself some good nachos! Planet Marfa did not disappoint! Just as the other reviewers say, microwaved but absolutely delicious. Id stack these against some restaurants in Dallas no lie. Super cute outdoor patio with various areas to have a relaxing time. I'm hanging out on the upper deck/roof area wishing the stars were out and drinking Makers Mark on the rocks. The bartender was so so sweet and let me take the longest time figuring out what I wanted to drink. If you're looking for a casual drinking spot, this is the place!

I was out walking on a hot day and stopped in for a drink. I just grabbed a Topo Chico and then walked around a bit, soaking up the decor. It's quirky and fun. There were a lot of interesting things to look at. Middle of the day, the bar was full. It was a hot day, and it's an outdoor location, but there was plenty of shade. I quite enjoyed my little break there.
