Beautiful view of the Oregon Mountains. Excellent service. The staff was more than gracious and inviting. The food was delicious. Went for the Sunday brunch. It was excellent and very generous. The food was fresh and the egg omelette buffet was excellent and delicious. Everything about this place was excellent and delicious. I highly recommend it.

First time eating at Picacho Hills Country Club and it was very top notch. Wife had Portabella Ravioli and it was literally the best I have ever tasted. I had the sirloin and it was as good as Double Eagle for sure. The Crab Bisque with a hint of green chile was so good we were fighting over the last spoonful! All these tastes with a view of the organ mountains make this my favorite dinner spot in Las Cruces now. No, I am not an employee of this establishment!

We came here to check out the brunch because Facebook was advertising the place, so we came by to see what it was about. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. Our table was lopsided, but the view was great. Our waitress was friendly and got our drinks right away. The buffet was nothing to rave over, it was basic, dried potatoes, basic biscuits and gravy, pancakes, canned whipped cream, strawberry sauce, syrup, the bacon and sausage was good, fresh fruit (pineapple, watermelon, blueberries, cantaloupe),cinnamon rolls that looked baked in house, and a omelette station that was good. Our table was not cleared the entire time we were sat there, our coffee refull didn't come until we were done. The staff was nice, but I'm not sure the establishment understands how a buffet works. There was not a variety of dishes and very ordinary for the price. It was good but not $25 good. We could have gone else else where and had a super delicious plate and a cocktail for that price, in my opinion. Then to realize when we got home we were charged an adult price for a child... this place has so much potential, but unfortunately, I can not recommend this place for brunch.

I had the pleasure of staying for a week in the Picacho golf course houses. I found out the first day that there was a club house that was purported to have pretty good food. I drove around to find it and it wasn't that easy to find. There was one sign that told you which way to go in the middle of the honeycomb of streets, and it had a huge bush in front it. But I found it. It was well worth the search as the next few days I tried a few things off the menu. The stuffed peppers were excellent. The nachos were clumped too high but were fine. The Quesadilla was far better than I expected. I really liked that.Later in the week I checked about getting on the driving range. It was allowed if you had a tee time set but I had an injuring that kept me from playing. I reached out to Mike D the Director of Golf and explained the issue. He was great about it. He got it approved for me to go still hit a few balls on the driving range. The range was beautiful by the way. Incredible views and it really felt like the best of Las Cruces vibes. I sure hope to be back.

Six of us met at the dining area today for lunch. Only one of us was an actual member. The pub and the dining area (more upscale) are located on the upper level. Service was fine, the view nice, and all of our meals were good, but nothing was exceptional. I had the Italian Sub, which could have been tastier with a little more Italian dressing or mayo added. They do have a dress code in the dining area, no denim and no shorts are to be allowed. If you read their website, it states that those dress codes are in effect after 5:00 PM. However, that is not quite true, since our group was warned when making the reservation for a table for lunch. You will probably not be refused service, since someone was there eating lunch today wearing blue jeans.

I have worked here for almost 2 weeks. I am so grateful to have such an amazing staff and great management. Management has been incredibly flexible and truly are a wonderful bunch of people to work with and for. The members are amazing and fun people to be around and I'm proud to work here. I've worked for many places in my life and nothing comes close to this country club. Todd puts an amazing touch on this place with future plans that we are excited for.

We are members and highly recommend the club. It is now under new ownership and plans to update are under way. We have been social members for 13 years. Friends who play golf, tennis, or pickle ball seem to have a lot of fun. Good food and friendships are a highlight of the club. Membership is open to all now.

My wife and I visited the day after Valentine's Day to celebrate Valentines and my birthday with less of a crowd. The restaurant area was almost empty . We ordered a bottle of wine and knew what we wanted for our entrees. My wife was going to order the Coffee and Red Chile Crusted NY Strip and I was going to choose the Beef Bourguignon. Our waitress informed us that they were out of the NY Strip and didn't have mashed potatoes for the Bourguignon but could substitute mashed sweet potatoes. My wife then switched to the Caesar Salad with Strip Steak slices (?). I took a chance on the modified Bourguignon. My wife enjoyed her salad. I, on the other hand, didn't enjoy my dish as the mashed sweet potatoes overwhelmed the beef and vegetables. I ended up just eating that portion of the meal. My wife finished off with a slice of cheesecake which was delicious. The restaurant ambience was fine and the service was good. But the meal experience dampened the overall experience. Hence, I rated it a 2.5 (rounded up to a three). Tom S.

I'm giving this place one star and it is strictly for the waitress. Super nice and a great attitude. Now let's talk about the restaurant. Atmosphere: it was like walking into a retirement home on its last leg. Bare walls, completely dirty and old tile carpet squares and Christmas lights still up above the windows. The view was awesome but everything else just distracted from what could be a beautiful restaurant. Service was awesome. Food: we started with an order of the bang bang shrimp. Should be called the luck warm pop pop shrimp. Came on a wilted lettuce leaf and a bit of sauce. No way worth $18.00. We ordered for the main lunch dish the fish and chips and the open face prime rib sandwich. So the fish was supposed to be in house battered fish. It was completely without flavour and had more bounce than a new tennis ball out of the can. The prime rib sandwich was completely smothered in caramelised onions and still had zero flavour. I thought for a second I could save the sandwich by dipping it into the au jus but as it only tasted like water with a brown tint, it didn't help. So one can only hope that some changes will be made now that the place is open to the public because if not the future of the restaurant looks as bright as a 5 watt light light bulb.

Tried it for brunch based on instagram and FB reels. So excited to find a buffet brunch. We called to check if we needed reservations and we're told no. The crowd was from 10-11 and they were gone. We got there around 11:30-11:45. There were a lot of empty tablesThe food was set on food warmers with the little candles underneath like a catering set up. ( that's what it looked like to me. All the Food was cold. Shrimp and grits clumped, obviously because they were cold. They had a good flavor but not pleasant to eat cold too bad. Hash browns seemed more like the recipe off the frozen hash brown bag of sinful potatoes. They were extremely greasy. Sausage and bacon cold. I was expecting lox with the bagels and trimmings. Instead it was smoked salmon. Still that was tasty, but it is supposed to be cold. French toast, I saw no butter, syrup or cream of anything kind for it. It was also cold. Egg omelette bar, which I didn't try, but husband did. He had eggs over easy, which were good. All this cold food for $21 person?Chef was walking around talking to people she knew. Only reason I knew she was the chef is because I had seen her picture on the website. Not once did I see her check on the food. I told my husband afterwards, "I felt like I just ate at some cafeteria or school cafeteria food!" Never again for brunch. Not sure if I will try lunch or dinner. It's too bad. Service was not good either. I think I will skip it this restaurant in the future. I told my husband I should have come on my own first. He laughed and said I knew him well. He hates to try new restaurants, especially ones that are this expensive and the food is terrible. He went home and made something to eat. Lol
