I had a lunch break quick trip waiting for biopsy. Took a little break with great burger, cup of beans & nice cup tea. Not far from MCH 40 min break finish in plenty of time fast friendly service. Great food for quick bite!

Nice, little spot. Definitely not the best burger, as other reviews share, in my opinion. Cafeteria-style ordering with sides and dessert. The patty itself was very "fast food-ish". Similar to a frozen patty. All in all, it was decent. I come to town often for business. Highly unlikely I'd come back - not due to quality, but there are other places I'd repeat visit in compassion. Decent food, excellent service.

This place has been around since 1978 and hasn't changed a thing! Fresh buns, great Chile cheese fries and family atmosphere! Just wish it was open for supper! Come here every time I get a chance!

Great place for lunch, I never thought about eating pinto beans with my burger, but it is great altogether!

Great fast lunch spot, but only open during lunch hours. Small, pseudo cafeteria style. Menu features 6-7 burger options, 5-7 side options, cobblers & pudding, some chicken and other kids meals. I chose the hickory cheese burger (lots of smiley BBQ sauce and shredded cheese) and my partner had the chili cheese burger (good chili ). I was bummed they didn't grill onions for the burgers. And I thought the sweet tea was lacking. But the freedom to load your plate with fries is awesome--just a pair of tongs with handle toward the customer on line and fresh fries being dumped onto the bin as needed. The lady behind the counter said "take your fill--you know how hungry you are!" I was happy to try the place, and two could eat in 20 min just over $20.

Atmosphere is casual. Area is clean. Today, there was several of us in our group, so we got there early. The only complaint was the burger was not well-done as I requested.... And they don't really tell you how the process works. Order your food.. get any and as much as you want of the beans, fries, etc. in the short buffet-style set up, pay... grab a table.Burger was okay, but thin patty. The lady standing on the other side of the fries, was telling the cook what we wanted, but she was telling him one at a time and waiting for each main course to be completed before she told him the next persons order. It would go faster if she would take two or three peoples order right away.

I have been going to Permian Basin Hamburger over 30 years love the burgers with Beans and fries. Wonderful desserts also. The owner is awesome makes you always feel welcome. Tracy Rybolt

Place was ok. Lots of history on the walls. Hamburger taste good, but the patties are thin for the price. But heck now days meat it's expensive. Good place for the people that work in downtown.
