This place was horrible cold food. Mushy fried tasteless rice. Steak teriaki sticks hard like beef jerky . No flavor at all worst I've ever had! Pork ribs dry we couldn't even chew them . ( even though they where completely submerged in sauce) wonton soup was average . Can't really complain. On a better note the egg foo young was great. We had it delivered. Later I found out they had a buffet. I think they have us the old hard food off it. $25 completely wasted! I stay in El Paso 8 weeks a year for work. Worst food ever ! So sad because they deliver.

The bottom line: it was just an OK dining experience for me. I wish I could say I had a great one, but it was fair to good at best IMHO. If it weren't for good service, I might've given it a two-star review. I went in for Saturday lunch, and I could've ordered from menu or had a buffet. I opted for buffet (Sat. and Sun. only). It offers the great price of $8.95 which is all inclusive: all-you-can eat food and drink, a cup of soup of your choice, and tax. That's a great deal!! Unfortunately, the only a couple of choices of entree were good on the buffet line, and orange chicken was not good at all--too much coating and very hard meat inside--it tasted like it sat there for hours. Chicken and broccoli and peppered shrimp dishes were very tasty and good. I might go back just for those two selections. I just might. Service was very good. Friendly servers were polite and prompt--no complaints here. I suppose old adage applies to this place: you get what you pay for... I'd rather pay a little more to eat fresher and better tasting food.

You might be wondering why I'm reviewing a place I haven't even checked in at. Well, that's because this is gonna be...that's right--a take-away review!I actually only tried this place on the suggestion of my wife and figured, "meh...it's been a while since I've had Chinese take-away at home. What could possibly go wrong??" Well..To be fair, this place isn't terrible so much as it's...average. Yup. That about sums up Peking Garden in a nutshell. I ordered three things and all three items were incredibly average counterparts of what they were supposed to represent and I've personally had better versions of in nearby Chinese restaurants. The egg drop soup was...alright, as far as the broth and egg whites were concerned. But since this was the first and ONLY egg drop soup I've ever had that included peas in it, that unavoidably left a raunchy smell and aftertaste that I can only describe as...an open can of spinach that expired 3 months past its "sell by" date. The egg rolls were stoic and under seasoned. And even after reheating them in my toaster oven, the outside was still the total opposite of crisp. Pathetic! At last, we come to the chicken fried rice. Surprisingly, this was the best part of my meal. Unfortunately, it needed a lot of help in the flavor department and had too little egg in it. Several dashes of soy sauce later, I was enjoying that dish like an American tourist eating chicken on a stick in Korea for the first time. One theme I noticed overall: evidently, Peking Garden has a pea fetish. Because between the egg drop soup and the chicken fried rice, they were immersed in an inordinate amount of peas. Some patrons probably have no issues with this but...sorry guys. I hate peas. Hate 'em! They taste repulsive to me and generally do not go with just any ingredients. Sure, they work with certain things, I guess but...I'm rambling now. Sorry.Huh! Who'd have thought that the general consensus of other reviewers here would actually be totally accurate. Peking Garden isn't completely horrible, but they could use a TON of improvement and my better half probably exaggerated on their caliber of cuisine just a bit. They're only worthy of 2 foul smelling pea ridden bowls of egg drop soup out of 5 from THIS Asian cuisine fanatic.

I came here with my children and mother for lunch. The food came out fast and was delicious. I ordered the Kunpao chicken, my mom had breaded shrimp, and my son orange chicken. Mariana our server gave us fantastic service and big smiles!

I've tasted a lot of bad Chinese food in my 29 years of life, but this place is unmatched. The egg drop soup tasted like they got a soup cup, scooped up mop water and dropped an egg in there. I also ordered fried rice and beef and broccoli, the rice was unpleasant. The beef and broccoli tasted like it was left out for days on end. I would rather give myself a eyeball paper cut then ever eat here again.
