Just went to Peking Garden for the first time in decades after coming here often with my folks as a kid. Just moved back to El Paso and wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. And it is! We got the beef skewers which are an incredible value at $9 and my wife and I each ordered the lunch special (kung pao chicken and sesame chicken). Food was great and came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Highlights were the skewers and hot and sour soup. Decor could use some upgrading but overall a very pleasant experience and much like I remember.

I recently ate at Peking Garden. I hadn't been there since high school, decades ago. While I am very glad that this local restaurant is still in operation my review is not positive. First, the entire place needs to be restored and remodeled- it's way overdue. The carpets alone are cringy. The service was mediocre at best, on several occasions we had to call the server over to us and witnessed at least 3 of them chatting leisurely among themselves by the cash registe, in that tiny passageway.The food is the worst of my review. I ordered lemon chicken and it could not have been less tastful. NNo veggies, just fried pieces of chicken on platter. The only reason why it was lemon chicken was because of a tiny bowl of some lemon sauce and a wedge of lemon. I was so disappointed that I asked for a side of veggies. I will say howeve, prices were very reasonable.All in all, I will not be returning to Peking Garden and that makes me very sad.

Yikes!!! Terrible reception, The fried rice was dark soy sauce a what appeared to be accidental pieces of carrots lost in the edges. The portion of rice was a measured half a cup. I would not recommend this place and never go back.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for a while now. So when we decided to go out to eat last night, it was a no-brainer. My dinner companion works until 7 in Juarez. So we walked into the restaurant just before 8. We walked past the cashier who looked right at us. We were about to sit when she comes running up, yelling the dining room was closed. That they are only doing to go orders. Mind you, the restaurant is open until 9. The cashier was extremely rude. I honestly don't know if I'll ever be back. Apparently, they don't want or need my money.
