Amazing staff, great hours and quality education. The time spent here is valuable for my child and his education. Highly recommended to anyone looking for early learning and having your child well cared for.

My 2 year old son has attended Peace since August 2016. While I was pleased with Peace from the start (solely due to my son's teacher), the new leadership that took over in January 2017 has made some significant changes that have improved communication, organization and the overall educational, social and emotional development of my son. Any parent who's child attended prior to the leadership change should consider revisiting Peace to see and hear the changes that have occurred. Having experienced both the past and present, I can attest to the improvements that have been made. Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year for all students, even toddlers. All of the teachers have a degree and experience in early childhood education and all of the staff are required to have a minimum of 24hrs of training per year. I am a very vocal parent and advocate for my child. New leadership has been friendly and responsive to my concerns and suggestions. The Parents for Peace group is very active in planning and organizing events throughout the school year. Parents from the infant room through kindergarten are encouraged to be involved with all school events. My husband and I did a lot of research before choosing Peace and we could not be happier. The school is heading in a new direction and I am looking forward to what the future holds.

I feel my daughter was discriminated against. Once I started complaining about injuries, they started manufacturing reasons to exclude my children from "religious" school. Be careful and document everything!

I am an Army officer and my wife is a business professional and our two children are currently enrolled at Peace Lutheran. Our only experience with organized childcare prior to Peace was in the ultra-structured (yet reasonably priced) military CDC on base in a wealthy DC suburb. We loved the CDC, but this wasn't an option in El Paso because we wanted to live on the West side and our commute/work schedules would not allow the commute to the East side CDCs. Our goal was to find a safe, reliable, reasonably-priced, nurturing place for our children to spend the day while we were at work. Peace Lutheran has succeeded in meeting all of these goals.Peace is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood on the West side of El Paso. It is associated with Peace Lutheran Church, which is about 3 miles away. There is a Christian-themed curriculum, which is akin to Sunday School, that runs throughout the year. This isn't something that was particularly important to my family when we were picking a daycare, but it wasn't viewed as a negative. If you aren't particularly religious, be reassured that Peace subscribes to mainstream Protestant teachings of inclusivism that are benign and appropriate for a young child with any cultural background. The price at Peace is comparable to the CDC. Peace is also enrolled in ChildCareAware, which subsidizes your cost down to what you would pay at the CDC (although the paperwork is a pain!). You must pay for lunch. The lunch options and snacks are kid-centric, but appropriate. Fruits and vegetables are included. You won't find parents up-in-arms about switching from organic to non-organic avocados (I'm looking at you Bethesda), but you also won't have your child plied with juice and cookies 30 minutes before dinner. There is always an option to pack a lunch or snack from home, which teachers will assist with preparing. The classroom sizes are intimate, without feeling too small. There is an appropriate amount of provider oversight to allow for children to explore their environment while feeling very safe, and the school has recently further reduced teacher ratios. In addition to the standard childcare rates, there are currently several regularly scheduled 3rd-party extracurricular activities that come at an additional fee: Tumble Bus (gymnastics in a converted school bus), Young Rembrandts (organized art classes), and individual piano lessons. All are on site.Throughout my children's tenure I have been very impressed with the administrative staff. I had some hesitations from reading previous online reviews, which in some cases seemed to hint at discord among the school administrators and competing interests between the school and parents. I was pleased to find that the school is staffed by thoughtful, reasonable, normal people who are trying their best to create a nurturing environment for their patrons. Parent input is valued and encouraged. The parent organization is recently reinvigorated and puts on a number of activities during the year, from parent socials to fundraisers.Peace Lutheran Preschool is safe, reliable, and a good value. Importantly, there are clear signs that the institution is working to continually improve itself, most recently by attaining an additional national accreditation for quality child care. We have been very happy with Peace.

I am extremely happy with the school!!! My son was attending another school for 1 1/2 years, where he has never able to adapt and the teacher was being really mean to him considering my son is only two. However, I moved my son to this school he has been here for 4 months and he is a totally different person he is always happy and loves his teachers !!! I am very happy with this school and the staff is very friendly .

I have been with Peace Lutheran Preschool for almost 1 year now and went through the transition of new management since after Christmas. I have to admit that when I first sent my daughter, I was a little hesitant because it seemed crowded and chaotic in the playground and I was concerned that my daughter would get ignored. But that was not the case at all- even then their teachers are well qualified and very nurturing. However, the school was in desperate need of organization related to scheduling, communication with parents, ensuring the front doors are locked, etc. Since January, the school has been under new management with a new business director, academic director and office staff. I decided to stick through the re-organization and I have to say, they have made significant improvements to the school both administratively and academically. I commend them for their hard work because change is very difficult for any organization. It is a well-rounded, safe place to send your children and I believe that they will continue to make Peace Lutheran an even better learning environment. Currently I have all three kids (1.5 yrs, 3.5 yrs and 5 yrs) attending and they all adore their teachers. Everyday they have age appropriate learning activities that are different in each class and their summer program with the older children this year has been very impressive. My daughter has gone on so many field trips to places like Mustard Cafe and learned about how the community helps those in need. The trips have really initiated great conversations with my daughter about what she is learning at school- she has really come out of her shell and is exceeding my expectations in her development socially as well as academically. She is starting to pick up reading, loves speaking/singing in Spanish (not fluent in any way but is picking it up at school through music and conversations around her) and exceeding all of her milestones to meet before kindergarten. I highly recommend Peace to parents looking for an all around well-rounded school (financially, socially and academically) and recommend parents who have left to come back and see the changes.

I have been involved with Peace in several different ways, currently I am a parent, and I love this school. I was uncertain about the change in administration, however, I am very impressed and happy. Class sizes are now completely within ratio (actually better); weekly newsletters are informative, organized, and to the point; the building and classrooms are CLEAN; the office staff is friendly and takes the time to answer questions and listen to concerns; I can see exactly where my money is going...through the high quality of care, and educational experiences facilitated. I've also noticed that children are engaged, and staff is motivated. Anyone who was unhappy before should revisit and see the changes for themselves.
