This is a wonderful place. Big variety of groceries at great prices. Their tortillas, and tamales are super delicious. Their burritos and bread are also super good. Their aisles are a little small, but it's all worth it, for the great shopping, and prices. You must try their tamales.

Papa's has the best food in El Paso. I recommend their Chile Relleno burritos. They are so delicious! They also have these awesome potatoes with cheese. Just yummy!

I'm not sure why it's called a "fruit store" because it's just a regular local grocery store. If you're going you name it like that, then make it stand out and actually have something special with your fruits. Instead I wasted my time stopping there only to discover a regular mom and pop grocery store.

Every time I come to El Paso, I love coking to the store. Produce is fresh and very inexpensive in comparison with other local stores. Also, the cashiers are very fast and very helpful.

First time here and I was told 30 minutes till the machine started with the flour tortillas. So I did my shopping while 30 minutes passed. Then came to check, and guy said another ten minutes, meanwhile man fixing machine continued to talk and laugh with the lady making the corn tortillas. People are not friendly at all and I left very dissapointed. Had to give a star to write a review. If it were up to me, no stars.

This is a great local "mom and papa shop!" The prices are lower than most places in el paso. And I love the hot and fresh tortillas, I finish half of them before I get home.

If there was less than ONE STAR -that is what I would rate this market!! I only went there as I had heard their fruit is usually good for like the same day day or two later. I needed some melons and watermelons for a fruit salad for a baby shower. Since these fruits at other quality grocery stores take longer to ripen , I decided to try Papas. I went two days before I needed them and first of all they only had like 8 watermelons. 5 out of the 8 were so mushy on one side that if you picked it up your fingers would probably go through it. I asked the owner if the had more and he asked why? So I showed him the watermelons he had there and he said he would remove them and that he was expecting a new shipment in a few hours, for me to check back that afternoon. Mistakenly I went back the next morning only to find THE SAME 8 watermelons from the day before. He never removed the mushy ones. As I was In desperate need of "ripe" ones I bought 2 of the 8 which appeared to be somewhat better than the others. What a mistake! The following morning when I sliced into them I found a disgusting tasting mushy watermelon. The melons did not taste fresh either. I regret I was not able to take them back because I was pressed for time for the shower. Needless to say I ended up making a fruit salad without watermelons. Thankfully I had bought all other fruit at sprouts and alberstsons so I was still able to take something to the shower. Long story short do not waste your money going to this shop. The prices are just about the same as other local better quality grocery stores which are also much much cleaner than this one. The owner obviously didn't care to get rid of his junk fruit and just left it there for someone else to buy. What a waste of my time and money. NEVER AGAIN... is my lesson learned !
