Palace Inn Blue El Paso

Don't let the name fool you, it did me. When I was told we would be staying at the Palace Inn, immediately I was ready to kick over my boss desk. One of my coworkers chimed in and said "Its nice." I told him he's a man and that he would stay anywhere cold water and all, as a matter of factly I may add. Me and my frown stumped out of the office and I got into the backseat of the car. Now, my reasons for judging the Hotel is because in Houston that's where you go for hourly get it on's. And I can't stand outside rooms.We drive up and check in, nope I'm still not impressed with a frown still on my face. The owner asked me what room would I like, I requested a view of the highway and not by my coworker. I enter my room and "Damn"! the room was/is niiiice and it smelled nice and I don't mean cover up funk nice. I enter my room and I was impressed times 10. I walk in the bathroom and it was large, so large that that's where I laid my suitcase to go in and out. I stand up and there's a plug next to the iron and ironing board. Large shower, toilet has a room of its own, microwave, fridge, suitcase holder/stand, dresser, table, desk, modern paintings that match the decor, fancy office type phone, there's a switch by the bed for the bed side lamps and get this a thermostat by the bed. The mattresses is hard which is ok because I have a bad back and it's what I need. I have to admit, this Palace Inn can stand against any brand name Hotel. They have a laundry room and get this an exercise room. I haven't used the exercise room because the Hotel sits down a hill and I get my workout in by going up and down the hills. I'm going to post this review for now, but as you may want to know the price per night. Oh yeah, there's full service house keeping daily. Would I stay at this Hotel in the future, absolutely! Would I recommend the Palace Inn to Yelp viewers, absolutely. Would I use my own money to stay here, absolutely!

Appreciated the cleanliness of the room. The rooms were updated and the shower/bathroom was huge. It was a convenient motel to stop at and very affordable. I do wish the room had more of a blackout curtain, it was pretty bright. Also maybe another lock on the door so women traveling alone can have some extra safety. Would stay here again.

Convenient stop if traveling the I-10, reasonable, clean, near restaurants, but if you're a lite sleeper this place has thin walls, I gave this a place a 4th star for the best heater/air I've ever seen in a hotel

Great find just off the freeway on our way from Phoenix to Dallas. Sits down the hill a little so the freeway noise was no issue. Beautiful big, modern rooms that were spectacularly clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and they offered breakfast! Close to lots of restaurants and craft breweries. Highly recommend!

Aside from the half a shower door and poor water pressure, this place is great. Very clean and staff is very friendly. Priced well and good location. Would definitely stay here again.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this place is immaculate, as it should be for a brand new hotel. However, it is just a new age motel six. It is a bare-bones hotel and didn't even have any Kleenex in the room. It had a kitchenette but no paper towels, utensils, plates or anyway to use it. There were long hairs on the bathroom floor that did not belong to this balding old man. The bed was extremely comfortable and we did get a good nights sleep. If that's all you're looking for then definitely give this place a try. But for my money, not worth the price.

Really nice hotel. Very clean and up to date. I would definitely stay again. Very modern shower, Big tv, and 2 beds for 70 bucks. Highly recommended.

Wow what a pleasant was not expecting such a clean room that was comfortable and also smelled so fresh!What I also loved about staying here is it's bright they notice the details when cleaning even in the corners! Nothing off pudding about this room.I would take this room over the Hilton

Another great stay here. Bed was comfy, room was clean, property was spotless. Definitely digging the suites with the kitchen. Only suggestion is that there's utensils, pot, pan paper towel roll, cups, plates etc. Just so that it's easier to make use of the kitchen, then charge people if they make a mess or don't clean up after themselves. I was kind of happy to come back to El Paso, a city id avoid like the plague because we booked here. My work people were pretty surprised with it as well.....we'll continue to book here when in town.

Room was dirty. Bed Sheets were not changed and when I arrived at 12am there was no one to change them. Very unpleasant experience; not coming back here.
