Orchid Nail Spa

I decided to try out this location since my original tech is across town and I was short on time... I should have listened to my instincts and just waited... I walked in and was greeted by the front desk who was very pleasurable - there was little to no wait while she got the chair ready. The water was pretty cold and when I asked to have it warmer it really wasn't much of a difference. I walked in with gel polish and from the beginning the gentleman I had was very rough, just taking off the polish he had the drill way too high and had already nicked me. At this moment I should have just gotten up and left... the whole time I was just praying for it to be over, I can go into so much detail of what happened but I'll save the horror story. The one thing I will say that I thought was more than unprofessional is that he kept scratching his body and had scabs / wounds and would then touch my feet which at this point had fresh wounds and he did not have gloves on and would not wash his hands throughout... I do have photos of everything but will just put the photos of the finished work... If I come to receive any type of infection I know 100% where it happened... Not only that but they charge an additional $15 for gel when most places are $5-10 extra.. Needless to say it was the most expensive and worst pedicure... no extra services , no nail art ... nothing ... I was originally going to give them two stars because after everything that happened - What seemed to be the owner or manager saw me trying to clean up some of the paint off my feet and asked if I wanted her to clean it up - but at that point I was already frustrated and in pain wanting to get out as quick as I could... but when I sent in my review on the link they sent it said a manager would be reaching out, so I waited to post this review but I have yet to be contacted by anyone and now there is no reason to - I am posting this so that others are aware.

I came to get a gel manicure and omg I left very happy and satisfied. She took her time and cleaned my nails very good. My nails looked so perfect afterwards and she was gentle. This will definitely be my to go spot whenever I'm visiting El Paso!

This is a place is a RIP OFF!!! And a place where there are unposted policies in order for them to JACK UP CHARGES! When I first went in there in 2022 because I was given their discount gift card, they would not let me use it because it was my first time there ! I told him, but I received this as a gift card. I didn't purchase this!! But I stayed because Andrew did such a great job. This place really sucks since Andrew left. He did my dip powder fills with no problem as did all the 5 star nail salons in Austin. Or actually any place that I have gone in the past six years since I started doing the dip powder. Last time I went in to get a full set- dip powder a few weeks ago. Pretty good job-4 star. The person that worked on me didn't understand a word of English. And she nip me a couple of times. This week I went in for what I had wanted -dip fills and a pedicure. First off the pedicure. I chose a higher dollar one like $65 that included hot stone massage. This person did not even realize that the hot stones do cool off!! he went & got everything he needed, including the stones & paraffin as I was initially soaking. so by the time he got to the stone part of the pedicure they were cold. The nail tech had started on me while i was getting the pedicure. But they had me inundated with what happened next. I didn't complain about him. I had previously picked my gel color, told the manicurist i wanted the same as before, dip fills and gel art as kinda a deep french in the purple gel. Little did I know she spoke not one word of English and didn't understand me either. The pedicurist translated. But he was not there half the time when I instructed her what I wanted. She filed my nails down a little bit. Started drilling near the top to do the fills, grabbed what she needed to do an acrylic fill. I told her NO! I want dip fills! That's when the commotion started. During all that distraction with me talking to the receptionist... she started by telling me that you're not supposed to get dip fills. It's just not done. And I was arguing with her that Andrew would do them but he's not here anymore. And I was telling her how I've always for six years gotten dip fills. She said they do NOT EVER do powder fills. More discussion in sued. I told her I've gotten them there before. They just wanted to charge me for a new set instead of half the price of fills. The pedicure guy gets up and i was distracted. Next thing i know they put my right hand in some warm water. The discussion is going on, and then they switch to my left hand. What I thought was water was warmed acetone. Then I feel that nail tech CUTTING OFF MY NATURAL NAILS on my right hand!! WITHOUT MY PERMISSION - that's assault. She got up n got nail tips- i told her No. STOP! Just paint gel on my nails. Nothing else. Then the manager came over, was talking to me and distracted me again. Tech did not stop. Next thing I knew she is applying powder on my nails and it is not even the same color as my toes! I gave up fighting. I went to the counter to pay. And the manager told me that I looked like I wasn't happy. I told her this is a beautiful job, but this is not what I asked for. And I never will be coming back. She said that she's going to call the owner to see if she can give me a discount. And I told her you know what just check me out and let me get out of here. I told her I will not ever be back and I have a big mouth. No one should be treated like this. At the most they should've charged me for. Removal, and polish. But they charge me $75 for the mess on my fingers. My fingers, ALL OF THEM HURT from her cutting my nails down to the quick!! I have worn my Nails long for 40 years . And it has been several days since I was there.

Decent service when the owners are there. Not so much when they are not. Plus hidden fees. Extra price to shape my nails from square to round or oval? My mail bed shape is NOT square, I expect the my nails to get shaped to their natural shape. I came in with an oval shape that was done here 3 weeks ago w/ no additional charge. And you don't tell me about the upcharge until I inquired about the bill? That seems deceptive to me. Plus the service normally comes with neck massager and complimentary drink; why do I need to ask for it specifically. Well, my time coming to this salon is officially over.

Found this place through yelp, was not expecting to find a new salon. Their customerService was awesome. Cleanliness and professionalism was outstanding and best of all Andrew does amazing nails ! They made a customer forLife !

Amazing service, makes sure you have a drink on hand and most workers are very kind. It was more quiet than loud which i think is very important. But also be very specific about how you want your nails.

Do not go here. My husband set an appointment to get my nails done here on Valentine's Day as a surprise. Well, to my surprise the nail tech cut 4 of my fingers. She put nail glue on one cut to stop the bleeding...they do not know what antiseptic is.. the lady at the front literally asked me "what's that?" Anyway, it's two weeks later I'm left with only 4 acrylics. :(

visited to get my nails done for my sisters wedding because of her recommendation and they turned out great! The staff were welcoming, my service was efficient, very considerate. The nails look beautiful, just what I wanted and Liz was a good nail tech

So I've been to this place many times before, this time I went in just for a pedicure and it was just not a good experience at all. The lady giving the pedicure cut my toe , it was hurting so bad. Then she put some type of liquid on it and it made the pain even worse. Unfortunately I didn't say much I asked her what happen and I couldn't even understand her she was talking so low also with a mask on. I should've said something while I was there because it's almost 3 days later and the cut looks so bad. Also I paid full price for this. The prices her are expensive over $60 for a basic pedi with Gel polish.

Lily did my fill and i am absolutely in love. she did them exactly how i asked and was so sweet! these nails are identical to my inspiration picture. highly recommend!
