Old Major Comics

This isn't the most impressive comic book shop. I'm honestly surprised it survives. Why? It's really not too inviting. Not family friendly at all, more geared towards hardcore comic book nerds. So I do not recommend bringing your kids here to introduce them to the world of comic books. But if you're old school and just want your books and to complete your collection, there's appeal here.

Love the owner and staff. He is crazy knowledgeable on all things comics. They carry a lot of the new comics and are willing to order comics for you or set them aside for you. They have figures, posters, and shirts that are all priced well. The store is clean and organized. Definitely have to disagree with the other 1 star reviews.

Great place... I reserve my comics here and they always reach my hands on time. The owner remembers me every time I go and knows what I like and what I'm looking for. What more to ask?

Worst comic book shop I have ever been in. Recently moved to El Paso, and was looking for a great comic book shop. Previously I was getting my books online, and I missed the interaction of the comic book shop. Very disappointed. The space is very small. They do have a reasonably large selection of back issues, so I will give them credit there.However, the new books and more recent books(1-2 months previous) are terrible. A lot of the covers of the new books are actually curling. Just absolutely unacceptable to allow that to happen to comics.Sad. Now I still have to find a comic shop.

I liked it here a lot. Its close to the Irving Scwartzz library. They have a few comics and the guy is very helpful. Its a humble store but thy do have a lot avalible. They also have the neweat comics and it sure beats going to Barnes and Noble. I loved that they had an easy layout, because it has been years since I have bought comics.

The owner is really nice and has great deals and has a nice selection of comics to choose from service is great

I recently moved back into town and found Old Major Comics. This place is awesome and the owner is amazing because he holds the comics that I am looking for when they get released. So I come in look for other comics I want to get and grab the ones I know are already set aside for me. This is my go to spot for comics because if I need something and he does not have the comic available he will order it for me!

Very friendly, has what I'm looking for and if not you can ask to see if it can be ordered. Easy to call and see if they have an issue. I've been going here over a year and a half and will keep going every Wednesday.

I went to this comic book store two days ago with a friend to see what it had to offer. I normally do not write bad reviews, but this place is receiving one from me. I've been to a plethora of comic book stores around our great country and this one fits the typical stereotype of one. I'm not knocking it for the merchandise, but the customer service was nonexistent. The owner or employee watched us come in and not once ever did he bother to say hello or even walk out and ask us, if we needed any assistance. Once again, in my opinion, great comic book stores flourish, because of that technique, such as "All Star Comics" off of Dyer. As far as the merchandise goes, there are back issues, graphic novels, t-shirts, but no golden or silver age books. There was one slabbed CGC book. If your looking for current/weekly content, this would be that type of comic book store. I am definitely not coming back. In addition, I've been collecting comics for over 34+ years.
