This is one of my favorite places to get sushi. This place has been around for over 15 years and always delivers. The sushi is incredible and the service is quick. I came to pick up some sushi today and couldn't wait to get home to eat it.

So, I like good food, therefore I am willing to overlook lines and long waits- many of you who are like me know and understand this concept.I had been running around all day and had not eaten; I had two hours before 6pm Sunday night mass (the very last chance to get to Church) so I can here to Okazuri for a bit to eat. The waiters were running around like crazy. The place was maybe 40% full but the take out orders coming in on the phone line were a constant. I figured I was in for a wait, but at least I was seated and had a bow of steaming miso soup in front of me.Well the soup was finished and I had played with my chopsticks- finally the first of two rolls I had ordered arrived. Let me start by saying the ingredients are fresh and authentic. What a delight - the roll had everything I wanted in a roll and more...but the time...I was watching the clock because I had to get to Church. I told the waiter that I had to go and he asked if I wanted my second roll to go or to cancel- I said to go! He apologized profusely for the wait and said he would give me a discount. Overall I gave five stars because I came for the food and it was top notch; the service was excellent considering the waiters were running their tails off. I guess a bit of a wait comes with the territory when you are talking about really good food.I will be back!

Nobody answering the phone for a roll to go.... Drive over to see the waitress and sushi maker guy watching a soccer game. No one else in restaurant. A sign? They tell me they're closed. It was 20 min to closing.. I was surprised.. maybe this is too close to closing time. Idk. I guess it's a matter of perspective. But after I said there's still a bit of time, they say they ran out of food. Hmm. I guess I'll never know.

I am seriously heartbroken over my dinner experience at Okazuri. I've been a customer for many years and I am in disbelief at the subpar meals that this establishment is willing to serve its customers. The sushi rolls were a disappointment, the amount of rice was excessive, not to mention it had been sitting in the rice cooker way too long. The fish on the rolls tasted cheap and hardly edible. The staff was friendly, but I have no interest watching them be on their phones or listening to their personal conversations. Sadly, this will be the last time that I visit Okazuri.

This place is a complete waste of time and deserves any shots fired at it.The rolls are the typical Texan fare. Tons of cream cheese and non traditional options. The staff here are all crap except for one guy who is usually always here and busting his ass off to try and cover the whole restaurant because the rest of the staff are useless. The service is slow and the rolls come to you way too slow. They park trays of rolls that are partially prepared from the back to the front where they sit forever to be cut by the guys in the floating sushi bar. The staff can't get you the food and the sushi chefs can't cut the food fast enough. Huge problem with this place.Let me start by saying sushi is about temperature and perfect execution. It is meant to be mastered and it requires more than just an average guy making it. The rolls I got here were consistently gross. They were not executed properly. Some break apart because they were not rolled properly. Other times I have had rolls not cut all the way through. Keep your knife sharp and true. Don't roll with a hot hand and keep the ingredients chilled. Make sure you have binding and sticky rice for the rolls. If it is a deep fried roll I want it faster than sitting on your sushi bar for 20 minutes getting all nasty. The thick cut sashimi is a decent portion of fish. It is the one thing I thought was ok. It was still not a temperature that I found pleasing for huge bites of fish.Things like edamame should be coming first but that is not the case here.I have tried to get sake nigiri here some times and they don't have any chilled. The plates here are not worth your time if you are thinking of side stepping the sushi.(If you work here or own the place. Do not bring your kids here. I don't want to see them running around the sushi bar and hovering over the rolls waiting to be cut.) If anyone has any connections to the Army at Fort Bliss.. Please have this place wiped off the map of the Earth.

Okazuri Floating Sushi was a nice and simple experience. There is plenty of parking that is free and the restaurant is modern, small and comfortable. The food was made in a reasonable amount of time and fresh. We really enjoyed the California shrimp special and the cucumber rolls! It is a wonderful low key spot and I would recommend it to anyone.

The sushi is great, one of the best in El Paso. The problem is that they now only care about their takeout orders and not the dine in customers. The wait is either long to receive your food, or like tonight, we were turned away because they were too busy with delivery orders. We were regulars who went at least once a week. Thoroughly saddened and disappointed.

Had to go to Sunny's sushi. Waited 10 minutes sitting and wasn't even acknowledged. The restaurant wasn't that busy either. They were more occupied with the to go orders than the people inside. Sunny Sushi does not discriminate like this place. They don't allow teens to sit without an adult. I'm 26 but look like a teen along with my girlfriend. Really disappointed in this place.Had to go to Sunny's again where I'm always treated right. So Much for trying something new.

Never coming here ever again. Don't waste your time. 1) Waited a solid 25 minutes to have a server get our dinner order2) Waited an additional 25 minutes to be served our soup3) When asked if we could get an extra order of ginger, we got a response of "Well it comes with it". Yes, precisely why we asked for more thank you. 4) Took an overall HOUR to get our food. Mind you, this restaurant is tiny and we were still served AFTER 2 families had come in and had gotten their food. Truly unimpressed
