Need a gift that says "I'm nuts about you?" Look no further. There's pecans and pistachios galore. Sweet, spicy, sweet and spicy, plain.... Green chile, red chile, salted, chocolate covered, sugar free chocolate covered, yogurt covered... pralines, honey, candy.... And pie. Run. Don't walk. Perfect for holidays, gifts and self care. :)

Recently stopped here after seeing a billboard on a roadtrip and wanting to pick up some New Mexico treats as gifts. In terms of the products, they were exactly what I was looking for - some unique treats from New Mexico with pecans, green and red chile spiced nuts, green chile brittle, etc. Unfortunately, not everything was clearly marked with prices on the shelves. I had handful of items and checked out. My total was a bit more than I expected, but I bought some unmarked priced items and I live in a state without sales tax on food, so I assumed these were the reasons for my surprising total.Again, I was on a road trip and was trying to spend some money in New Mexico on my short drive through. I had a schedule to keep and couldn't dawdle, so I was glad to find this spot.So I was super bummed to look at my receipt a couple days later - turns out my total was so high because I was double charged!!! I emailed customer service asking them how to resolve this issue and never heard anything back. It's been nearly a month with no response. So I would love to give this spot a 5 star rating, but I can't when I'm being charged 25% more because of errors with no desire to communicate. I don't know if I was being taken advantage of as someone stopping by on a road trip. If you want some nice NM treats to share with people, it's a good spot, but do NOT leave the shop without checking your receipt.

If you've ever driven from El Paso to Mesilla on the back roads (which I recommend you do, especially if you want a change of scenery) you'll see acres upon acres of Pecan orchards. Pecans are currency out here. Driving through canopies of beautiful pecan trees will definitely make a drive to this area more interesting and being able to stop in a town where it's almost guaranteed that you will eat a pecan infused meal is an added bonus. Some of these farms will allow you to drive right up to their front door and buy pounds of pecans, but they can be hard to find and options are usually just shelled or not shelled. So finding this newly opened shop made my heart skip a beat. The building New Mexico Pecan Co. is housed in has some interesting history behind it and is in a pretty fascinating spot to explore. From what I gathered between the man working during my trip and online, it seems as though it used to be the Silversmith Inc. that carried souvenirs and whatnot and long before that it was some kind of mercantil (I believe that's what he said) which actually kind of makes sense when you consider the design.Product wise their shelves look sparse, but they're still in the soft opening stages and there's really no reason to fill a new store with more merchandise than one can move. And not just that. I kind of like how it looks without there being ridiculously full shelves.Obviously their main product is pecans, but they carry other things as well like pistachios, salsas, Neat (not meat), and delicious jams and jellies. The pecans aren't just limited to shelled or not shelled either...they have quite a few different flavors and samples for those of us who don't like to buy blindly. And pecan pralines! Oh gosh, my favorite! The butterscotch pecans were pretty dang good too! I went home with a bag of yogurt covered pecans and hot pistachio brittle for under $10. The yogurt covered pecans had a very smooth, creamy taste which helped cool my mouth after I devoured half of the hot pistachio brittle. That stuff is gooooooood! Spicy as hell and so good!Next time I'm in the are this will definitely be a stop for me and I'll be leaving with bags upon bags of nuts and other goodies. Everything sold here is sourced locally which is a huge plus in my books. Love it, I'll be back again!

Customer service was excellent I had a few questions about their honey and coffee and the young lady was very patient and able to answer all the questions I had. Products are great and I will be coming back frequently.

This place sold us overpriced stale pecans (tasted terrible) and the women working there refused to give us a refund. According to them, "that's how they always taste." Way to represent your business. Never coming back again. Would not recommend.

Ordered several types of pecans on their website. Poor customer service. It took weeks to get the order, no reply to two emails inquiring about status of order. Finally, I had to call them to find out what the problem was. The explanation I got was that they were out of certain nuts and had to wait for a re-supply. Still after the phone call, it took awhile to get the order. The order was a gift, so I don't know about the quality of the nuts received. They just made no effort to communicate with me. Frustrating experience.
