This museum was fantastic, wish we had allocated more time for this one. We will definitely come back for another look when we are in the area. Great layout and beautiful displays. Learned more about this region and Billy the Kid. I also love the real animals, who doesn't like to look at baby goats?!?!

I absolutely loved this experience. It is surprisingly enormous including all the outdoor playgrounds and activities/exhibits. Much more than I was expecting, honestly. The inside is beautiful, I *loved* the history of the testing sites and the families that owned the ranches. The rooms about Billy the Kid and the cattle rustlers was not my favorite, just personal interest isn't there, but it was well done. They also had lots of interactive things around to keep kids going through the "boring" stuff. I really enjoyed the photography exhibit down the hallway, beautiful artwork. There is an interior and exterior kids play area. The milk barn was one of our favorites, many fun videos and interesting facts. Roping demos on weekends. *Very* sweet and friendly donkey that likes his head scratched. The saddle exhibit was interesting too.I was hoping for some more info on crop farming, based on the name of the building; I loved the info about the chili and pecan tree varieties developed specifically for the environment. I wanted more! Even the gift shop is fun - many tasty items for sale. The wine tasting was my favorite and if I had more time would have enjoyed trying the vinegars and oils. The pistachio candies are excellent. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here, I'm very impressed that this is available in Las Cruces.

Didn't get to stay for long here. Just a quick pass. But from what I saw it seems like a very nice museum. There was a lot of statues, historical artifacts, nice displays, and livestock, too!!The staff seemed very friendly and helpful. We went into the gift shop and found many cute items to purchase. Being that it's after Christmas, of course there was plenty of Christmas sales. I could not resist but getting a few tchotchkes. They also had spices, nuts, and all other kinds of food fare, including local wines. We both decided that we wanted to come back again and do the full experience. The husband really enjoyed the culture and the livestock. But then again, he used to live here in Las Cruces.

Loved the tour since i don't have to walk in the sun. Lovely tourguide. Short for about 30 min depending how many people and how long the stops. Green house where you can buy plants. Cheap. Bring cash. Saddlemaker, learn it is made out of wood. barn next door with horses. Did you know horses bite. Be warn of rattlesnakes. (No one has seen any but you might be the lucky one). Saw the cows, the sheep, long horn cows early spaniards broughtvwith them. Herefords are white with brown body. Back inside, the museum. History of farming. Beautiful art pieces. Clean bathroom. Clogged drain. Gift shop. Museum of farm life on these parts and how US government took farms away and reimburse pennies to these hard working familes so US can develope and test missiles and use plutonium to build atomic bombs and still testing missiles in the land. You will understand what is Trinity and manhattan project and how Germans developed missiles. Understand the Lucero and the Macdonald farm families. This place got some serious money to build, maintain this museum and working farm, and great piece of land. Kids got outdoir and indoor playground The parking lot must be as big as a football field.i paid $5 entrance fee.

I'm so jealous of everyone that works in this gorgeous museum, livestock and taxedermy all around, and a stunning view of the Organs. We are hosting a public meeting here and the staff has been so helpful and accommodating during the organization and planning. Lori even pointed out a pair of owls!

Cool museum! It had a lot of cool information and even cuter animals! We only had an hour so we rushed around, I'd plan for at least 2 hours to explore the whole place without rushing. Also it was only $7 a person.
