New Deal Furniture Retail Store

I purchased some items here and I'm very happy with my purchase. Unfortunately, I didn't know about this place before I visited a huge place in airway starts with an A and ends with a Y I over paid by so much. At new deal I would have saved more than half and with the same quality items I bought. I'm upset but that's my fault for not looking around.

Today we went to the store to shop for a living room sectional. Thank you Charles for the excellent service, we found what we were looking for and the price was great. This recommendation goes out to Charles, if you visit the store by Cielo Vista, ask for him. Now to wait for the delivery.

This location has been around 24 years and is the second location of the older smaller store on Alameda. This furniture store has gone thru the test of time and is still serving El Paso tx and the military that resides here after many years. After getting out of the Air Force owner Mr.Falvey with the help of his wife Nita Falvey and her father Mr. Silva started New deal furniture with only a few small furniture items in a tiny show room eventually flourishing into the two locations open today. Mr. Falvey passed away on October 19,2014 after 45 plus years in the business and his wife Nita had to make a choice wether to finally call it quits or keep the store open for future generations of her family to run. It was hard for Mrs.Falvey to decide what to do being such a big task and having to deal with taking over all the responsibilities. Not wanting to burden her family with added work she set out to find someone to help her run both locations. The store has seen many ups and downs since this change. Filling Mr. Falvey's shoes seemed to be a tall order for many who tried there shot at taking over and helping Mrs. Falvey as acting cfo and general manger. She went thru her share of employees quitting or acting out because they simply did not respect her the way they respected Mr. Falvey as a boss. Doubting she could run the store effectively she had to work twice as hard for their respect. All together the store has pulled out of its slump slowly and also has a new staff with a couple familiar employees here and there. It is beginning to remold its self image with the help of its new general manager Laura Chavez. They still have a great selection of furniture and will gladly do their best to get the furniture you are looking for. I will say yes there are places you could probably find "cheaper furniture" but that's exactly what your getting, cheap furniture that does not last. The brands they feature are of high quality and will not fall apart in two three years like Ashley or Household stuff you can buy extremely cheap!! You get what you pay for and trust me I learned my lesson and finally spent a little more here at New Deal. I'd give this place a chance they are still around for a reason. They have good furniture and they can usually get it to you within the same week being that they have their own warehouse fully stocked down the street from the i 10 location. This means the only thing you have to worry about is a delivery date if you don't have a truck otherwise you can get your furniture the same day two blocks away. All the other furniture stores have to order their furniture from whoever their distributor is in another city across Texas. This place is located directly across the Fountains outdoor shopping center on i10 east...

Bought these electric recliners for 2.5k...they delivered them and an hour later I realized they gave me defective recliners.. the outlets on my recliners don't work. I called to get it fixed and the guy came in to look at them and he confirmed the outlets were not working. He said he would be back in 2 weeks to get them replaced. It's been over a month and im still calling to get this resolved but no one is trying to talk to me to get this resolved. Manager has been avoiding my calls

If you want to be disrespected and sold product that is not in inventory, go and buy from new deal furniture.Their computers are apparently outdated, as per manager, and employees do not enter product correctly. We bought eleven items and eight were delivered. We were missing dressers and chests for all our clothes. Checked and two of the drawers are broken. They fixed it by getting our items a week later, hopefully, and it was at their inconvenience. So $4,200+ later with missing and broken stuff. Buy at your own risk.

Nice folks but they're trying too hard to maximize their profits. Make sure that you check the prices of each piece against prices available on the internet.They offer the Gabrielle Oyster couch "on sale" at $1,219.99.That's an unreasonable price. It's available for $569 to $899 all over the United States.

Went into the store to buy a bedroom set. Spent about 1.5 hours looking for all the right pieces plus mattress. Salesperson was pleasant at first and promised no interest for a specified amount of time. Then the terms changed and offer for no interest was retracted. In addition, their free delivery for military customers was also not honored. When I told her I would have to think about it, she simply walked away from us and left us standing there. Totally unprofessional. I called to let owner know about the lack of professionalism on his employees part, he didn't seem to care. Went to Conns, got a better deal, free shipping, and no interest for 3 years! Needless to say I will NEVER step foot in New Deals' mom and pop shop. Now I know why the parking lot was empty when I got there! SMH

There were so many different affordable styles that I loved and the sales person (Sylvia) did an amazing job guiding me without hovering. In fact , all the staff was super nice and made sure I was ok without being over bearing. They also keep in touch.

Great styles to choose from and variety of furniture. Sales person was helpful when needed and didn't hover over me every minute. Even got a massage while waiting for my credit approval (which I was able to get financed considering my credit isn't that great) Overall great experience, I'm so excited for my new furniture to arrive this weekend!

Shopping here is always a great experience. I've been coming here since 2010 & the service is always great from the ladies in the front office to my sales associate (Jesus Ramirez is my go to man!) My furniture has lasted through countless moves and still holding strong!
