My Place

Passing through town and came across this popular breakfast spot where they serve Asian dishes as well. I wish we tried out their pho bowls for breakfast. Busy dinner. Nice staff. Then menu alone was huge-maybe about 15-20 pages. So you have PLENTY of options. Since it was morning, I tried the traditional breakfast. Nothing too surprising but I though it was a bit on the greasy side. Other than that service was great and seems to be the local's favorite place to eat in town. The cooks were friendly as they waved goodbye as we left.

My wife and I tried My Place about a year ago and it was horrid. The food was literally so bad that we paid and left and went to a different restaurant (Indochine) just to get the "taste" out of our system. We never went back. The service was OK but the food and ambiance were just below our standards. Sorry about the bad review.

This is a popular local dive for seniors. The place can get busy during the first two hours of breakfast on any day. Food is good and service is friendly. I've had breakfast and lunch here in the past.Today (Saturday) was my first time back since the covid pandemic and I had a taste for a thai dish: curry chicken. I came in during an early lunch, grabbed the only two-seater table in the corner with a view of the counter, and ordered my meal with raspberry tea.The dish was filling, with lots of chicken and big pieces of chopped scallions. I actually ate the entire thing in one seating! I also ordered a pot roast dinner for my husband who stayed at home, which came with the veggie of the day (today it was corn) and garlic bread. There was no surcharge for to-go orders.I'm glad this place survived the pandemic shutdown in March. The two servers from before the shutdown are back. "We're coming back" said my server. "The community has been good to us!" he added. The only difference now is that to pass the covid rule of social distancing, the owners have pushed four tables together, limiting how many groups can come in at once. The tables are rather ugly, with enlarged placemats with local advertisers covering the top, but I don't come into a restaurant to review tabletops. My one complaint is that the owners seriously need to replace the ceiling tiles. Many are stained or cracked and the filters need cleaning. Several tiles right above my seat needed cleaning and/or replacing.

Unassuming place from the outside. Extensive menu serving all day breakfast, Mexican, and Vietnamese food. Service was fast. We had the banh mi and phō. If they only stick with Vietnamese food, they would be a great place.

"Jack of all trades, master of none." Their menu is extensive with asian, mexican, and american dishes. And that could be a downside as they do not specialize on one. We ordered beef pho and the broth was really packed with good flavors; however, the broth had gunky meat froth. It happens with meat boils but suppose to scoop the gunky stuff out.Nonetheless, the food was decent and service was friendly. This review is based on this one time experience and I will update next time. A good renovation of the place also wouldn't hurt and table was a bit sticky. Good place for a local town, don't expect a 5 star quality.

Great little place for breakfast! We basically had the place you ourselves on a Sunday morning after church. Actually had crispy hash browns... everything was delicious. I had the hash brown omelette and it was really good! The only thing I would change is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Service was great!

Atmosphere is nice, small town cafe. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. Frozen breaded cutlet, I wouldn't recommend, but the home fries were good. I will try it again and see if there homade food is better.

I rate restaurants by food, service, price, and "will I return". That is why My Place gets 5-stars.I have never had anything bad. It is always good- to excellent. Everything is fresh, and cooked well. I love the gyro scrambled eggs.The service is fast and friendly so even if it is busy, you will be served quickly.Prices are good, but have increased due to inflation. FJBEven though I occasionally go elsewhere, My Place is my go-to for breakfast and lunch.Remember, they close at 1400, 2pm. Darn it.

It is tough to say for sure who has the best breakfast in town but this place is a contender. It is the definition of a mom and pop shop with daughter waiting the tables. The food is honest fare that comes out fast. The coffee is hot. Weekday specials are a great deal but the normal weekend prices are fine too.

American, Vietnamese, and Hispanic cuisine is an interesting combination to say the least, but I was overall satisfied with their food. My only friction point would be the ambience of the inside; a little bland and things seem a little random, but if you can get past that small detail, then you'll be set!
