Move West

I had an appointment scheduled with another company but Move West offered such a lower rate that i had to take it & cancel my previously made appointment. They said they would be here at 9. Finally at 10:30 they rolled up. One man came down and started disassembling a desk only for the OWNER to walk in & say we needed to disassemble it so his worker can get more done. He then went back to his truck & left ONE worker working alone. I said we paid for a 2 man crew. Owner then came inside to say they were leaving because another one of their trucks broke down and maybe he can move us next week! They were here 20 minutes tops & did nothing but take out 2 screws from a desk! We needed to move out that day & they did not care. What an absolute waste because at that point no one had availability to move us that day. This is the absolute worst company to do business with!! Cheaper is not always better!!

I had a great experience with Move West. This was the second time I used them, and would highly recommend them. They were fair on pricing, had experienced movers that handled everything with care. The process went completely seamless!

The whole Move West team was outstanding! I feel so fortunate that in El Paso we have an independent regional mover so committed to high moving standards and professional customer service. Roger, the owner, was great, keeping in communication throughout the process. He works hard, has a fun sense of humor and knows how to hire good people. Many thanks to Miguel, Paul, and Tommy for their efficiency, can-do attitudes, helpfulness, and expertise.

We just used Move West today and I could not be happier! I unfortunately don't remember the two gentlemen that moved us, but they were fast; efficient; professional and careful not to damage any of our furniture or the new house we are moving into. We used another company to move out of our old house to storage and wish so much we had used Move West to begin with. These two gentlemen moved a 3-bedroom house in the span of 2.5ish hours. If or when we ever move again, we know who we will be calling for the move.

Movers are the best, business practices are horrible. Movers made mistake on calculations of my invoice. Owner Roger called me about 18.00, REALLY! How pathetic, just write it off.Won't use them again, when they moved me into my home broke a panel on my China Cabinet purchased at Charolottes and Roger refused to pay for the repair.Horrible horrible owner, when I booked the move spoke to owner's son. He was rude and disrespectful!Roger is pathetic, don't know how they stay in business, trust me this is the last time I will use them!

Prices alittle steep, however, These guys have moved me a few times already and have gone above and beyond in a timely fashion at that!I have no inentions of needing their services any time soon, but i do suggest them if you are searching for a moving company.

Do not recommend this company. I have used them three times. You'd think that, as a return customer that my return business would be acknowledged and appreciated. Not the case. The guys that do the actual moving are great. Roger and his wife need to get it together regarding communication, pricing and invoicing, however. Roger has changed the price on me twice - after the move! He would tell me one thing, then change his price significantly after the job. He also damaged one of my pieces of furniture, though he did fix it. He took the damaged piece to his office to fix and I had to stay after him to get it back. It seems as if every time Roger is involved, things get a little murky. I don't think this is a professional company at all and they're pricey.

Our experience was we contracted them to come out and move us from Canutillo to Las Cruces. We sent them pictures of all of the rooms in our house to show what we needed moving. We then packed up about 50% prior to the move. The owner came out on Monday of the move (Wed) and took a look and said he doubted they could get us moved out on Wednesday due to the size of the move. I told him we contracted for them to pack us on Tuesday and then finish the move by Noon on Wednesday. He said he only promised they would try (guess a contract and verbal agreements mean nothing to this company). Tuesday arrive at 10 with 2 guys only, leave at 5pm with about have of the packing they needed to do done. Wednesday arrive at 10, still only 2 guys. My wife and I packed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Didn't get moved out till 9:00 PM with still a ton of stuff in the driveway needing to be put on the truck. I was dolling stuff out to the truck all day. We closed at noon so squatting till 9:00 PM then trespassing since the house was no longer mine. We drove to Las cruces and closed on that house at 3:00 PM so we weren't homeless, just exhausted and sleeping on the floor. We did a similar move 3 years prior from Alpine TX to Canutillo. Same household and Mayflower sent 4 guys the first day (8:00 AM Start - 8:00 PM stop) with 99% on the truck. Next day finished of the packing and they were in Canutillo by 2 in the afternoon unloading. The biggest issue with Move West is the owners greed in over booking moves and not having the manpower to meet commitments. The only thing that saved us is the new owners did plan to move in till Thursday so they were very nice and accommodating to our problems with the movers.The only silver lining is the two men that did pack us and loaded the truck were very nice and worked very hard. I did have to tip them very well for they were wanting to walk off on Wednesday around 6 PM because their boss wouldn't provide them with the help they need to do the job. On Thursday one of them didn't show up and his partner said he had quit. The owner showed up later in the day to help unload. I did not for I was physically exhausted from the 2 days prior as well as my wife (I was 67 at the time my wife 71). I would never ever hire them and if you do you have been warned.

Very rude customer service. Wouldn't even bother wasting my time, they lost my business before they even had it

"Moved 3 statues across Texas and they arrived totally destroyed." I am adding an addendum to this review. After some miscommunication, the owner did pay to have the damage repaired. I appreciate the response.
