Mountaineer Inn

What an amazingly fantastic overnight! This was my sixth overnight at one of the newest (~1year) mote on my 2-week (15-23APR2023) biketour of central NM/CDT, and it was delightful, with an exuberant welcome from the owner/operator. The bed was firm, the usual/expected flat screen TV/microwave/ mini-fridge and ice was available in reception. Of course, excellent WiFi is a given. I had the pleasure of meeting another (motoring) traveller, Leslie, who resides close to Old Mesilla and welcomed me to visit him there after calling ahead. The small community of Reserve is surprising, an interesting/thriving/growing Catron County seat. I was extremely glad to have arrived with ample daylight as my Gimpwalking took me across the great wide 2-lane bridge into the heart of the ~6-8 buildings downtown. I was very impressed with an elaborate sculpture, depicting historical significance here. The food truck provided me an excellent taco meal, that I ate while resting in my great room in The Mountaineer. It definitely has my coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was very comfortable with new furnishings, great location, and very friendly management. Thank you Linda!

Stayed 5 nights, very comfortable. Linda goes above & beyond to accommodate guests with a friendly attitude, cleanliness, & parking accommodations. I just can't say enough about this lady. We came & went and she never stops working and maintains a smile morning, day & night.

Finally, a nice motel in Reserve, NM! Very friendly staff, and new clean facility! I highly recommend them!
