Great little shop here. Large variety of jerkies, candy and novelties. Very friendly staff, even our Weimaraner made a new friend.

Very nice people! VERY WINDY. Between the interstate and the train tracks-ALL NIGHT noise. 360 views of mountains. No reservation needed, very flat desert space. Full hookups and wifi. Little store with fresh jerky and Stop over place only. Four stars bcz: No shower house and no shade. No dog area, thorns everywhere which injured their feet. Lots of permanent residents there and trash around their homes.

Nice one-night stop. If train noise bothers you a lot this probably isn't the place for you though. Busy track is probably only 100 feet or so away. The shop/gas station on-sight is top-notch. Great variety of candy, jerky and novelty items. New owners as of two years ago have obviously put in a lot of time and effort into the store in particular. The camp site still needs some work, especially the laundry facilities, but if they put the same effort there as they have the store it will be very nice indeed.

The park it self was clean and laid out well. However we did not stay because of the gentleman with the old fart hat. There was no one to direct you to your site and due to a misunderstanding with the young lady in the store we parked in the wrong place. To start with he he walks out in the road in front of our car and rudely informs my husband the speed limit is 5 mph, which we were doing. Then when he pulls up in the site he starts loudly saying we Can't park there. I Don't know if he is the owner or not, but in my opinion, his people skills are lacking. We got a refund and left.

Ok, it may not be elegant and the trains pass a stretch away, but the park is really tidy, the hospitality excellent and the you can't beat the price. Plenty of travellers in diesel pushers and trailers, good security and great stars in the desert. I must add that I have an old dog who is about to pass and quit eating. I called my vet who suggested I add some vanilla ice cream with warm water to soften and flavor his kibble. I went into the store and while they didn't have ice cream for sale, they went into the back room and gave me an ice cream sandwich. My beloved pet ate his dinner. Post script: went to Rafters G restaurant up the road [same owner as the rv park] and had a really good meal. They also packed a tub of vanilla ice cream for Max for a nominal cost of a desert. Human kindness at it's best!

This is a great place for an overnight stay. Easy on and off the highway. Sites are wide and level. The staff was very friendly. You get to choose your site. There is some train noise but it didn't bother us too much. This is not a destination RV park or anything but you can't beat it for an overnight stay.

We stayed overnight here and found it toBe a very nice stopover. While it's a very basic no frills campground we found it very neat and clean. The lots were of good size for our Motorhome and power was 50amp and good. The owner/staff were very friendly and accommodating and their store was a gem. Lots of homemade jerky, candies, and to much to mention and also had diesel fuel and propane. I guess only downside is there is no tv reception unless you have a satellite and there is a train goes by on regular basis but I'm not a light sleeper. The view is beautiful hence the name mountain view!! I would stay here again for sure when passing thru b

Hosts could not have been any more friendly and helpful. After I arrived, they raked up a couple sticks at my site so I wouldn't mistake any for a snake during the night, told me which thorny plants to avoid, and just overall seemed to go out of their way to make me feel at ease as a solo female traveler. Only $7 for a nice shady tent camping spot. The girls working inside the store were also super nice. I've been on a very long trip and have steered clear of RV parks the entire time, but this experience has made me regret that! Can't thank yall enough.
