Motel 8 Willcox

SCAM ALERTBEWARE!I go to Willcox for work on a weekly basis and I've tried most hotel/motels in the area. Motel 8 was my first time and by far the worse experience I've had.Room appeared clean but after a closer look it was dirty and a used wet towel was found under the bed. Wallpaper was falling apart. AC is extremely loud.I was going to keep all that to myself and just never book this place again.I also didn't like that they took my credit card to charge me extra money to cover for extra cleaning fees if needed (knowing how clean I am I figured it would be fine though)Later in the day after checking out, I received a call from the management telling me that I had a pet with me so they can charged extra.I told them that I didn't have any pet with me. They accused me of lying saying the manager saw me with a dog which is a blatant lie. I told them I was there on a work trip with a work vehicle and my work has a very strict no pet policy so it couldn't have happened and told them to check for cameras and to prove me that I had a pet if they were so sure of what they accused me. Then they changed their story and said they found dog hair in the room. I told them I have 5 dogs at home so it's not impossible that pet hair would be there (although I wouldn't be surprised they are lying about finding pet hair but I give them the benefit of the doubt). The conversation wasn't going anywhere and I told them if they charged me I would be suing them after which they said there's no reason to sue and they hung up as I kept talking.

Place is super clean and the staff is really friendly. Place is in the middle of nowhere so it was really peaceful. And the price was not bad at all.

This place was just what I was looking for. It is an older building but its clean, inexpensive, comfortable & friendly. Will stop here again to rest on my next road trip.

Do you want working showers and drains in your hotel room?Do you want bath towels that are softer than a piece of 60 grit sandpaper?Do you desire to sleep on a mattress made after the fall of the Soviet Union?Are you easily awakened by passing freight trains?If you answered yes to any of these questions, Motel 8 in Willcox is not for you.

The owners and staff are so damn nice! They made my 3 month stay so hospitable. Rooms are super clean and solid location for any food and drinks , walking distance. I sincerely recommend this hotel! I'm a traveling construction worker and traveling across the US, I've yet to say hotels are as accommodating as this place.

This past month my wife and I flew to Arizona and spent a little over a week and a half touring national monuments while staying in modestly priced motels. Motel 8 in Willcox was one of four such motels we stayed in. We spent three nights in Motel 8. It was by far the best of the four and a great value. Motel 8 was cleaner and in very good condition as opposed to the other three motels we stayed in, one of which was part of a chain. The price was the lowest of the four motels and it had greater square footage and better features. At the chain motel the room did not have a table or even a single chair. When we asked the office staff if we could borrow a chair they said they had none to offer. Our room at the Motel 8 had a table and chair and it even had a full-size refrigerator to go with the microwave. The Motel 8 is operated and owned by a young couple. We spoke with the husband and he described the work they were doing to make improvements since taking ownership. Their efforts are clearly reflected in the care taken to create a very inviting room to stay in.

It's good. Clean and safe. In the middle of town so easy walking to decent restaurants. Owner lives on premise so service is good. Bed ok, sufficient towels. Half the price of Holiday Inn Express. We stayed the night so we'd be closer to Chiricahua National Monument for an early start. Only 40 minute drive away. All good.

This place deserves a 5 star! Very clean and great service. We stayed here overnight and it was very comfortable. Great hospitality and super kind. They really put a lot of hard work into this place and if you are in need of a place to stay I would definitely recommend staying here. Great quality and a great price! Thank you again!

I really loved this hotel. If you're looking for fancy, this probably isn't it. But if you want clean and quiet, I think you'll be happy with this stay. The new owners are super-welcoming. We'd stay here again.

First of all let me state that Willcox is my hometown and I visit frequently. I have stayed at this Motel numerous times. At that time Peter and Marie were Owners. I and Family members who would travel with me were there in March this year. New owners. David and Ondrea. I could immediately see they were making improvements. They both were very accommodating n pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable. Although price was less than other local motels it was not a major factor in staying there. Coffee n donuts in the morning were a plus. I would absolutely recommend this Motel for travelers needing a nice comfy place to stay. Thank You David and Ondrea. See you next time.
