Moongate Cafe

Good food and great customer service with a smile. Steak fingers are light and very good. They don't have fat and aren't chewey. Just right! Breakfast here is soooo good. But I plan to try other items on the menu (extensive menu)

Do not underestimate by appearance. For anyone living in Las Cruces, this deserves full consideration for driving the 15-20 minutes required. A small restaurant, and seats about 50. It was full when we went in today at 1:00 pm, one hour ahead of closing. No overhead, no frills, just first rate food, an unforgettable experience. The servers were working as hard as I've seen any waitstaff work, and the taste of the red chile on my son's sopapillas and my rolled tacos were as flavorful as any restaurant I have ever dined in Las Cruces. That's a very high bar for Las Cruces. This place flies under the radar, and you can just tell it oozes of the locals. That's a very good thing. My highest endorsement to Moongate Cafe.
