Pretty good bbq from a local source in midland. Good prices and very filling. Free regular sized drinks-It's a small but appreciated thing. Very friendly staff with plenty of space if the weather is nice

It's a little off the path, had to figure out how to get in to the parking lot. Once we figured it out, we were shocked by how full the parking lot was for close to closing time. Turns out there was a football banquet or something so the outside seating area was closed, making the dining room really full. This is a place you order the food and they call your number when it's done. I had the 2 meat plate with beans and cheesy corn. I had brisket, all they had left was lean, and ribs. Lean brisket was dry, had to put some sauce on it to eat it. Ribs were great Sides were good as well.Nice place, would come back for sure

Always love the food. My favorites are the ribs and the chopped beef. Everything we get is outstanding though! They are friendly and it has a great family vibe. We love eating out on the new patio and playing corn hole!

The food is amazing and perfectly seasoned. The meat is always juicy tender. My favorite is their chicken sandwich with potato salad. The employees are really nice polite and welcoming.

This place is absolutely amazing! Chef inspired and unique styles of condiments and such. For instance the BBQ is one of a kind and very good! (I'm picky about BBQ sauce too.) The typical BBQ meats are top notch! Another cool side note about half acre is they aren't just a restaurant. They own the ranch where beef is raised, a meat market where you can buy their raw beef, and a restaurant that cooks and prepares it for you. Reasonably priced and has indoor and outdoor seating and even an outdoor area for the kids. Don't forget to try the banana pudding!!!

Wow, this place was great. The only thing I would want more is if they were open either on one weekend day the barbecue sauce, little different than I'm used to but very good. All of the people who worked there is very nice. Lorie was very friendly and made us feel right at home.

We had a really great lunch here, the brisket was to die for! They have a nice outdoor seating area with TVs, bathrooms, and a green for putting and corn hole.We'd love to see a pulled pork sandwich on the menu some day (tip-the real good kind that's not pre-drenched in bbq sauce!). We just wish they were open for dinner or on weekends since we live in the neighborhood right behind them! Closest place to eat for a great lunch on a weekday though!

I'm Texas everything is big. That was the size of the portions they served. I'm glad I got a one meat plate. It was a 3/4 inch thick slice of wonderfully juicy brisket that was bigger than my hand and my stomach. My only complaint if it's a complaint is that there's only one sauce to be had. Not overly sweet or spicy ok flavor. I'm just used to having at least 3 or 4 different flavors of sauce. Still.... come hungry and leave full it's well worth the trip.

My wife and I finally tried the Half Acre today. We both enjoyed it. We arrived about 5 minutes before the restaurant opened at 11:00 AM and there was a short line of 4 - 6 people waiting. We sat in the car until someone was let in. There's a menu on your left as you enter. I ordered the 3-meat platter with double brisket and sausage. You get your choice of sides, and I ordered a side salad with green chili vinaigrette. I ended up taking half the brisket home. The sausage must have been a jalapeño cheddar variety as it was cheesy and a little too spicy for my wife. Her side was potato salad, and she said it was good. I can't review the sauce as I'm avoiding sugar. (Hope there wasn't any in the vinaigrette, which was tasty.) My wife said she prefers a little sweeter sauce. It's self-service. They call your number when it's ready. Styrofoam cups, lids, straws, and a soda dispenser provide ice and drinks. Also on the wall are several tea dispensersI'd estimate 10 tables, maximum, inside with seating for 4 each. It's definitely a place to arrive early, although they have outdoor seating for the two or three days a year you might want to eat outside in Midland. We left satisfied and will return.
