Great gym on base! Has all sorts of equipment and amenities. They have a basketball court, racquet ball, two different weight rooms, a treadmill floor, yoga areas, shake shack, and large locker rooms. The showers and other areas are really clean. There are different group events that go on here too. Workers were friendly. Outside there is a huge football and soccer field. Was impressed with all the stuff they had to offer.Don't forgot your CAC to enter!

April 2021. Stout Gym is actually my favorite gym in Fort Bliss. Yes, there are other newer gyms available but even thou Stout gym facility is quite old it is well kept and has so much to offer.Racket ball, basketball, outside field/track, ample weight room, smoothie place, cardio rooms, roomy restrooms and showers and Great parking lot.The best thing is that is never crowded.**Currently Due to COVID19 the gym is closed but it is the "to go place" to get your vaccine.I was surprised how well organized everything is when going to get your vaccine. The soldiers preparation and professionalism made me proud to be in the military.Kudos y'all!!

Decent size gym. I like coming here for taking classes they offer. Check out the website. I take Zumba but they have so many more classes available. Just don't believe in the website about schedules. It said the Friday Zumba is 10:30-11:30 so I went around 10:25 and it was already started. It turned out that their actual schedule was 10:15-11:15. I was told by the instructor to just come in and get the printed out schedule at the front as nobody updates the website. Also, they charge $2.50 for each class now. It used to be free but now they only have a few classes that are free in the morning but those are only free for soldiers in uniform. So there were only 4 people including me in the Zumba class. It was a bigger class until they started charging. I think it's still cheap though. You'd pay more than $10 a month for sure if you go off base.... Idk I've never been to off base gyms because it's no point to pay for something you can use for free on base... But that's what I'd assume.

Stout Gym: A Ft Bliss original. You know, I can remember coming to Ft Bliss as a young Air Defender, after OIF1-2, after I'd reclassed into ADA... "East Bliss", was just Biggs Army Airfield. There was no bridge connecting the posts. There was no 1AD. An Air Defender General, was the post commander. Every ADA BDE in the Army was located here... And Stout Gym, was THE GYM. Milan was around as well, but Stout, was the spot to be. These days, that's not so much the case. I mean don't get me wrong, it's still heavily used, but it's not as flashy as Soto. It's not as unique (or whatever word I can use) as the multiple Iron Works facilities. Stout is more legacy than it is modern. It still has the mural above the basketball court entrance depicting old ADA times. Speaking of the basketball courts, they closed off half of it and turned it into like a weight area? I see some weights and some machines etc. Not sure exactly what's over there, as I have no interest in it. It really hurts me seeing someone using a basketball court for anything other than basketball. So I avoid eye contact and escape quickly up to the cardio loft. There's a lot of little side rooms. These rooms house all kinds of weights and machines etc. you know, normal gym stuff. Believe me, while not as fancy and flashy as Soto, this gym has absolutely everything you need. When I come here though, I don't go into any of the weight rooms or anything, I spend my entire time in two areas: cardio and sauna/steam room. Speaking of which... The cardio area is a little on the small side. Not many options as far as machines (quantity). Although if you go during off-peak hours you'll be fine and have your pick. I rather enjoy the newer LifeFitness treadmills they have, the ones that take you through a tour of New Zealand as you run. I know I'm a dork, but i rather like that. Stout does have (non co-Ed) a sauna and a steam room. After I do my cardio (elliptical/treadmill) I head straight to the sauna/steam room area. On average, the sauna (which has a lot of room for sitting. All wood benches) is at 140f degrees. Dry heat. But sit in there long enough and you'll sweat. If no one is present, I'll do stretching and ab workouts in there. The steam room, it maxes out at 114f degrees. Significantly less than the dry heat sauna right? Well, I don't understand the diff, but I'll just tell you I can ONLY do 15 minutes total in the steam room, and I do 30 in the sauna. That damn steam room, I can hardly breath lol. Then again, I go in with full pants, hoody, the whole 9. After all, I'm in there on a mission, not a vacation. Furthermore, I've never been a fan of lounging in an uncomfortably hot environment, with other men, wearing nothing but towels that were originally designed to wash your face. No thanks. Hoody and sweats it is for me. Death metal cranked up, head and eyes down. Either way.. Both rooms are pretty legit. Now to my FAVORITE PART, the real reason I'm writing this review. Stout Gym Snack Bar. I really love gyms that have snack bars. Whether it's a pre workout supplement or and after workout protein shake, they have it all. Hell, they really have it all. They sell egg white sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches, they serve a variety of cold cut sandwiches that can be made to order your way. Muscle milks, Capri suns, gatorades, every kind of smoothie/shake you can think of, with every supplement you can think of to add. From fat burner shakes to muscles builder shakes. Candy bars, granola bars, oatmeal and hot cocoa, even sodas. Like you could honestly get all your pre workout, post workout, breakfast, and lunch all here at the snack bar. They even make PB&J!! Who doesn't love that lol. And when it comes to smoothies, they're at least $5 cheaper than our other option (Smoothie King inside freedom crossing). After my long cardio session followed by 30-45 min of sauna / steam, I always grab a Gatorade (low cal) and slam it while my fat burner smoothie is being made. Stout gym isn't bad at all. It's noticeably older, and doesn't look like it's gonna be modernized or upgraded any time soon. But if you are in/on/near main post Ft Bliss, Stout definitely has all your gym needs. Give it a shot. If nothing else, swing buy and grab breakfast after PT.. Take a smoothie with ya.. And although way worse than most of my reviews, I still can't believe, I just reviewed a gym. Gag. But look at my photos I attach to this review and you'll see where my interests were. Das it Mayne...

Just discovered that they have wide individual showers and the locker room is big. Other base showers tend to have open bay showers and if they are individual, it barely fits 1 person.

This is a very spacious and Gym but you will feel cramped the entire time you are there. They just don't have enough equipment for the amount of people that workout here. Some of the equipment is broken and hasn't been fixed in weeks. Racquetball courts are always full and people stay in there for hours. On a recent visit there was no hot water for a shower.

For this being a military gym, I was disappointed. They didn't have any stand alone pull up bars, no music playing, all their plyo metrics were some metal boxes in the back of the basketball court. You're not allowed to use chalk in the facility. About 2 out of 5 concept 2 rowing machines worked properly. Thankfully I was only there for a short while and was able to get in my workouts but it wasn't to the best of the ability it could have been.

Best gym at Fort Bliss. It doesn't get too crowded after the workday and the staff is very friendly. Very clean as well. Not as big as Soto gym, but definitely is better overall.
