Mezcla

My mom treated my husband and I to a date night and we picked Mezcla based on some reviews we'd seen. It is in the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces with a good amount of parking available. It is a little awkward because there was no hostess directing us to be seated. You kind of just walk right into the restaurant. The ambiance is very intimate, subdued lighting type. Perfect for a date night. We decided we were going to splurge, so we started with an appetizer of Queso fundido. It took a WHILE for it to come out. The chips were nice and crunchy... the queso?! It tasted like a straight up BBQ pit. Like someone had lit it on fire and forgot about it. Burned! It looked fine though, which was so puzzling. We couldn't do it. Sent that back and didn't get another appetizer because it had taken so long and our entrees were already out. Ordered the Blackened Branzino which came on a bed of grilled leeks, asparagus and fingerling potatoes. The plating was not exciting at all. The leeks, sauce and Branzino were actually the best aspects of the dish. I could have done without the potatoes (super bland). The asparagus was good, but they left on the super fibrous ends which is always a turn off for me. I am glad we tried out the restaurant, I'd only visit again if I absolutely have to (like for someone's bday or something).

We stayed a night at the Hotel and we chose to eat at Mezcla within the Hotel. We chose to eat outside because it was a beautiful evening. The ambiance was great. We started out enjoying a charcuterie board with cheeses and meats and then ordered our dinner. (See pics). We also ordered dessert and WOW! We truly enjoyed our dining experience. If you are in Las Cruces you need to check this place out. The service was top notch and everyone was super friendly.

Best place to go for dinner! Great ambiance and food is even better! A lot of people don't know about this place because it changed over the last year and the new chef they got has created an amazing menu. Service is on point as well. If you haven't already come check it out!

Yummy with great service. I had the salmon, polenta, leaks, and spicy secret sauce. Great combination. Well prepared Spanish food in a relaxing atmosphere. Do it.

This place has nice ambiance, but the food and drink quality is poor. I would go to hang out and take pictures, but I would not bring my appetite. I would not recommend getting food from this place to a stranger. The servers were kind, shame the food was so bad.I'd give another shot in a year or two...I went in December of 2021 while staying at the attached hotel.They get one star for the ambiance and another star for how well the outdoor heater worked. Chilling on on the patio in the middle of winter was pleasant. We had a good time, overall.

Love this place! Great servers, great food. The best pancakes! Yum. Their calamari is amazing. I have eaten here several times since moving to the area two weeks ago. I've had their breakfast and dinner and enjoyed everything I have had. I will definitely repeat on a regular basis. Oh and their Margaritas are yummy too!

Great food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner there.

This restaurant never disappoints! The food is exceptional and the hotel itself is beautiful. Jules was our server tonight and she couldn't have been more perfect. What a great evening !!

I stopped by Mezcla lastnight, I've been seeing it all over Facebook and it looked good.. The food was amazing, and presentation was incredible! The drink and the bartender was phenomenal! I was greeted at the front desk and my server Jaime was just amazing! The staff here is so friendly and the hospitality is truly welcoming and makes you feel like you're at home. Truly a great place to come have some great food and drinks. The salmon was incredible. Thank you Sky and Jaime for the amazing service and drinks.

Food was strangely and disappointingly bad. Took a long time to get seated. I give it two stars because the restaurant was cute and the server was good!
