Drive through this little town and park on the small parking lot that might be desolate around 5 in the afternoon on a weekday. As you walk through the doors you notice at least air conditioning works well but what you're still there you might trip over the large geode rocks that are on the right hand side. You might be unlucky and get the waitress that does not speak English but luckily I could speak Spanish and translate to my co-workers. There was one and a half waitresses here at the end of them spoke English. I say a half because we rarely saw our waitress accept what they kitchen door was open and she would pass by.You will be greeted and the elongated dining room with a lot of antique handmade wooden tables with tarrazo colored flooring. The price is reasonable here but the food might need a little more seasoning. Service kind of lacks when it starts to get busy. You will be better off sitting by the soda fountain machine to get your own refills if there are more than 10 people in the dining room. My flour tortillas dwarfed my hands I'd say they were the size of a small pizza.Overall it might be a decent place to visit but I'm sure there are better selections around. This is probably the WORST restaurant I have ever eaten at! I ordered chile rellanos and I am not sure what it was they brought to my table. NOT egg white batter, NOT Anaheim or Poblano pepper and dripping with grease! Refried beans were as thin as water and th rice was more white than Mexican. When I refused to eat it they still demanded payment and would not make it right! Don't waste your time or money there!!!

A gem! Living in the Hill Country leaves much to be desired for Mexican food. My sister suggested this on a visit to Monahans and I was impressed! This place is small and not fancy, but it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself! Awesome menudo, and a breakfast buffet that had a bit of everything.

This has become my favorite place to enjoy mexican food in Monahans. I like that the employees, especially the owner is very nice & always treats you like a friend rather than just someone thats there to just get a burrito. I think that they have the best Menudo in town which is only available on Saturday & Sunday like any other place. You can either dine in or use the convenient drive thru window. The chile that they provide with the to go burritos in the morning is amazing. If you call ahead they can have large burrito orders for companies ready to pick up and the prices are very reasonable. I will recommend this place to others & I will definately eat here every chance that I get.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered... had to get my own chips.... After about 30 minutes of sitting there after we ordered... first plate came out about 35 minutes after we ordered, mind you there was one other table eating with two people! Here we are sitting for about ten minutes thinking well the other plate should arrive shortly... I guess... another 30 minutes pass by before receiving the second plate. About 5 minutes before it arrived I walked over to where I could see the front of the restaurant since we were in the back... majority of the people who work there are sitting at a table eating food! Are you kidding me? So the server and the cooks decided to have a lunch break instead of serving us? What a joke this place is. The old lady has the nerve to ask us how the food was as we walk out, "come again and see us". Really? I feel embarrassed for you.

We were driving from Abilene to Phoenix on New Years Eve 2021 and we were hungry for lunch. This was the only place open besides a chain restaurant in Monaghan's, Texas. I had the buffet and my wife had a bacon, potato and egg burrito. I liked the red enchiladas and the beans and the green chili stew. Service from the owner was friendly and the food was good. We're used to Sonoran-style Mexican food in Phoenix, so the Texas-style was different but good. I'm glad we stopped at Meza's Kitchen and I recommend it.

LISTEN!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! WALKING IN ...We walked in and no one greeted us so decided to pick a table. Sat down, cleaned said table and waited a while. Waitress came over asked for drink order .... waited another while. Drinks arrived!!! But no tea spoon for the tea ... wife had to stir with her finger ... should have gotten a clue then. RESTROOM ADVENTURE ...Wife runs off to restroom and returns with a look of dismay ... apparently, a sign was posted in the restroom to please not flush ANY toilet paper and instead place it in the basket next to the toilet. Yikes. THE ORDERS ....NO CHIPS AND SALSA?!!! WHAT?!! Apparently, they ran out of chips. Wife orders the number 10 Green Chile Enchiladas and waitress looks dumbfounded. So wife explains that it is the Green Chile Enchilada plate. I order the Tacos al Pastor. Annnnndddddd .... we wait a while. In the process of waiting I go throughout the restaurant hunting down silverware and straws then procure my own refill of Coke. THE FOOD .....Shaking my head!!! Huge plates of nastiness. The wife's plate comes out first ... it is , wait for it, NOT Green Chile enchiladas. It is queso covered enchiladas, runny, watery cold, refried beans, and clumpy cold rice. Wife decides to just try it because after FORTY FIVE MINUTES, we have run out of time. IT WAS BAD!!! About 8 minutes later my plate arrives during which time I have endured the looks my wife is shooting at me. Tacos al Pator ... each of the greasy corn tortillas was partially filled with slivers of bright pink mystery meat that resembled miniature cat turds. I tried to make lettuce tacos but the lettuce was so old as to be inedible. THE LEAVING ...After a few bites each we literally covered our plates in napkins, because honestly, no food should ever receive such treatment and be served to anyone. Stood up to go at which time waitress asks "Was it ok?" Ummmmm ... just signaled to the wife to make a hasty exit. Paid the bill, left a tip and headed to nearest gas station for a real meal. It was tremendously OVER priced. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
