Worst music shop ever. Employees are rude and incompetent. Prices are marked up about 40 percent. For instance, a set of Zyex brand viola strings is usually $51 and some change at most string shops. They charge about $85 and refuse to price match. I have personally witnessed them rip people off and take advantage of those who don't understand music on multiple occasions. Once a woman came in to buy a drum for her child to play with as a toy basically. They sold her a $100 snare drum that was meant for a drumset instead of the $30 hand drum that would have suited their needs much better and been cheaper. It was pure greed on their part and utter disregard for the musical needs of the customer. I have also seen them rip people off in the strings department too. I watched them sell a $300 brandless fiddle to an adult beginner for $600. When I tried to let the poor woman know she was being ripped off they told me to leave. I am an emerging musical professional in this area. I have studied and performed music for about 8 years in an academic setting. These people are terrible human beings that will take your money and run, leaving you cold and musicless. Do not shop here.

The guitar arrived dirty with rusty strings and buzzing/intonation issues. I reached out to the company(twice before they answered) and they took an entire day to get back to me. They claimed that the guitar was set up and cleaned by the guitar tech before shipment and that this was validated by three store employees. They suggested that the filthy guitar, rusted strings and buzzing issues happened in transit. Their solution was to send me two packs of strings and a cleaning cloth. They were not willing to remedy the issues with the guitar buzzing. Overall my experience with this company was sub-par. Everything about them screams greedy corporation. Sadly I've even had better experiences at Guitar Center. It's already difficult enough buying a guitar online without being able to try it first. I could understand this kind of behavior if I had bought from a pawn shop but this was a music store claiming to be dedicated to quality products and customer satisfaction. Their guitar tech's level of quality assurance is questionable at best. I would encourage you to be extremely cautious purchasing guitars and other items from them due to inaccurate listing descriptions, lackluster quality assurance and a non-existent customer satisfaction philosophy. Be careful out there! Shame on you Mesilla Valley "Pro" Music!
