I think Memorial Park is one of the nicest parks in El Paso. It's always been one of my favorites. I'm surprised I haven't written a review about it! It has a lot of lush green grass and trees, especially during the warmer months. Since El Paso is located in the desert, we don't have too much of that. It's kind of far from my house so I don't come to it that often. If I lived closer, I would definitely walk around and relax. There's also a swimming pool and library. I've never been to either one. Before Covid, I brought my son to a festival at Memorial Park. There was a lot of vendors and children's activities. My son enjoyed it. Memorial Park is also close to the rose garden (another favorite of mine!).This is a nice park to have a gathering with friends and family. One of my friends had a memorial for her son here. She brought food and drinks, along with a singer and butterflies to release. She held the memorial one year after her son passed away. It was a beautiful tribute for him. Memorial Park is also a nice place to take photos since it's so green pretty much all year long. People/photographers come here to take wedding, quinceanera and graduation photos. Check out Memorial Park if you haven't already.

What an incredible urban park. This place was all out in beauty, scenery, plants, things for kids, birds, you name it - it's got it. I have to admit that this is a top five of any urban park that I've been to. It reflects well on El I ask and a definite spot to visit.

This is one of the nicest city parks in El Paso IMHO. It's in a very nice historic district and neighborhood of Manhattan Heights. I guess I'm partial to it since it's not too far from my residence, and I have been frequenting this park in recent months ever since I relocated to Northeast El Paso. Even comparing to the Chamizal National Memorial Park, I like this one better--it's kind of hard to put into words, but it gives me more soothing and calming feelings as I walk through it. It also gives ample shades during hot summer days since there are many large trees. This park is fairly large and includes Aquatic Center, El Paso Public Library, & El Paso Municipal Rose Garden in the vicinity. Families enjoy using the playground with their children. If you walk around the perimeter of the park and/or through the hills, it provides you with a good walk routes. I see groups of people enjoying yoga or tai chi, others cycling through the park. I often see couples/families getting their wedding/engagement/quinceañera photos done here since it's such a beautiful setting. There are ample picnic benches throughout the park. There aren't too many shelters, but I see folks bringing their own shade tents and chairs. If you need a place to relax and enjoy nature, this is the place to be in El Paso. Highly recommended!!

I have found some where in EP that make me forget I am surrounded by very desert like areA! Memorial park is gorgeous and made me feel like I was in LA! I stinking loved it and can't wait to go back in more comfy clothes so that I can actually explore this park. From what I saw this place has a bridge! I thought that was pretty cool. It wS also a beautiful sitting area with a palm tree in the back ground I feel a tad ridiculous for getting so excited but the facts are as follows 1. EP is a dirt filled city that had its own beauty with out any trees that's amazing! 2. To feel as though you are in fact not in EP when you are in fact in EP rare lol. I walked around the park as I was there for a photo shoot with my family I loved it! We had a great time:-) I saw LARP ers in action that was pretty cool:-) the actual play ground was nice as well I can't wait to go back for. Pic nic

Memorial Park is perhaps the most beautiful park in the El Paso area and it's by far my favorite. Although I didn't find out about this park until my senior year of high school, I've spent many days here since. For general park purposes Memorial is great. Bambi loves to go for walks at this park. Unfortunately, MP does not have a dog park or any gated areas where it would be safe to have your furry-child off leash, but it is quite large, very grassy and has tons of hills so it's great for running around with your pup. I think MP has the space for a small dog park and they should deeply consider that as an addition. This is a pretty nice park right across from the houses in Manhattan Heights so it's perfect for strolls. There are quite a few activities that are going on at this park and I've attended everything from a wedding to LARPing (yes, there is a large community of LARPers in El Paso and a lot of them get together at this park on Saturday). I think the thing I love the most about this park beyond how undesert-like it looks is the bridges. The bridges are small and are probably only there for flooding purposes, but they're nice, make for an amazing backdrop, and are great for just lounging around and people watching. And this park has a few other amenities like the pool, tennis courts, and the nearby rose garden which makes it ridiculously easy to make MP a pretty long excursion. To wrap it up, this is my favorite park in EP and it's 100% Bambi approved.

Memorial Park is one of El Paso's largest community parks, and is well kept, vast, green, and serene (daytime, summer). It is centrally located in Manhattan Heights and its hilly layout make for a good workout when walking or jogging. The park seems quite ideal for picnics, but not cookouts (learn the difference people!) Memorial Park also has tennis courts, and an aquatics center, as well as a children's playground.Memorial Park stands on the location of a failed copper smelting facility opened during the turn of the 19th century by Investors from El Paso and New York, a fact commemorated by not one, but 2 plaques, I couldn't make this up. Oh, El Paso...

I've honestly gone to this park like 3 times in my entire life. However this last time i went i noticed how this park has everything. The park is probably the greenest i've seen in El Paso but also it has a lot of trees. I think my favorite part is that it isn't a flat park. There are so many many hills throughout the park that it feels a lot more natural than a typical man made park which is completely flat and even symmetrical. The other awesome feature are the tennis courts. It has lights so you can play at night and it isn't always taken like most other courts in El Paso. The park also has an event area where large parties are held. The swimming pool is also a plus and a great addition even though it's indoors now. I might start going to this mark more often now to walk my dog.
