Septembers line-up

The Melt is one of my absolute favorite things to do in El Paso because like I so frequently say, IF IT'S FREE, IT'S FOR ME. We're living in a recession so I'm not being cheap, I'm being practical.Every last Saturday of the month, the Downtown Melt takes place. It's basically a crawl, but every stop knows you're coming and gives you either free wine, liquor, craft beer or discounts on a meal. The stops are all at local shops, restaurants and cafes so you get to do a little bit of eating, a little bit of drinking and a little bit of shopping. All things I love to do [in moderation].The route changes every month, but a map comes out a couple of weeks before with times and what freebie is at each place. I've gone to La Casa del Puro (www.yelp.com/biz/la-casa-del-puro-cigar-lounge-el-paso), OM.Boutique (www.yelp.com/biz/om-boutique-and-hairsalon-el-paso), Tabla (www.yelp.com/biz/tabla-el-paso), and The Network (www.yelp.com/biz/the-network-el-paso) during almost every Melt. Just a great way to try out a whole lot of places downtown if you've never been (or even if you have).
