Best Chinese food in El Paso! Super flavorful and have large portion sizes. The service is always so friendly and reliable. My go-to is the combo special with sesame chicken and general chicken. The mango habanero chicken is amazing as well!

I'm new in town . Trying local foods . Not what I expected . Over priced , I ordered fried rice . Paid $1.50 extra .. there weren't no veggies . Just rice mix with a lot of soy sauce. Which made it incredibly salty . Couldn't eat Food overall. Not tasty , quite salty, too expensive , too small servings . I get better serving from panda and I'm not a fan of Panda .... I don't get it why so expensive for this low quality of food. I would normally be paying this just $7.00 bucks in LA not a 15.00 for a combo . I find it ridiculous. Don't recommend for travelers , won't return

I'm a creature of habit, I have a tendency of ordering the same thing from the same place at the same time Anyway, I decided to branch out today and SWEET SASSY MOLASSY !!! I am glad I did. I am a huge fan of hot and sour soup and this is the best one I've had in El Paso. I also got a little excited over the lemon grass tofu and was not disappointed. The tofu was cooked just right, it was crispy but not chewy or rubbery, which tends to be my experience when I order dishes that have tofu. My only complaint is that I wish I would've known there was chicken in the hot and sour soup, I ate halfway through it until I realized it...LOL. They also delivered my food super fast in 30 minutes or so. If you are looking for a good place you eat or you don't want to drive, then this place is the one for you.

Absolutely love mei kitchen my go to order is salt and pepper tofu with chow mein! It's delicious and definitely the best in the city! The owners are so sweet and kind! When we have last minute get together they accommodate us! We live in the northeast but don't mind driving to the east side for the food and service! Everything is always hot and fresh and made to order!

So, I just ordered take-away from this lovely place. Let me say this much: if first impressions are accurate, then this place should be recommended for the academy award! But they are not without some minor shortcomings. Let's discuss. If there's one thing this place isn't short of, it's seasoning. Because every single dish we ordered tonight is jam packed with it! Since there were so many choices and I have so little stomach these days, I went with the option to order a plethora of items and sample them all. We'll do this list item by item, as that seems to be the easiest way to tackle Chinese take-away menus.Egg drop soup: this is what egg drop soup should taste like. It's the soup's soup (if that even makes any sense). The broth was flavourful with TONS of egg whites! I give this one a 10 out of 10.Fried chicken wings w/ fries: Okay. This one's a two parter (obviously). Apparently, they consider this dish an appetizer...despite having the calorie count of a full course meal. But, I digress. First, the fries were well seasoned. However, the consistency was all over the place when it came to execution. It's as if half of them were cooked in a separate deep fryer at a different temperature. Weird. They get a 7 out of 10.The chicken wings were...meh. Once again, the flavors were all there. Unfortunately, they were ruined by the lack of meat on the bones combined with having the texture of sawdust. Ever have perfectly seasoned chicken that was also burnt AND dry? Well, whatever. In short, they were cooked to shit; almost like someone forgot to remove them from the deep fryer on time. I'm giving these a 3 out of 10.Egg fried rice: this little side dish here....is anything BUT little. Let's just say for $3.95, you get quite a bit for your buck. As you probably guessed, the seasoning was damn near perfect (I added a little more soy sauce to mine). Two problems though; 1.) I wish they weren't so stingy with the EGG.....fried rice (catch my drift?). 2.) The rice doesn't clump in such a way that would otherwise facilitate the use of chopsticks (not to mention it comes with peas). I'm embarrassed to say I actually had to switch to "fork mode". Lame. But the flavor is there where it counts. I'm giving this one an 8 out of 10.Salt & pepper shrimp: OH. MY. GAWD!! These things! Uh....guys....take my word for it: order these things. NOW! They are pure perfection when it comes to seasoning and execution. Er...well...almost. There's one small problem I have with these shrimp; they leave the frickin shell on! Seriously, what's with this concept?! Whenever I make this same dish at home, the first thing I do is remove the shell so as to maintain the flavor. Luckily, the flavor for these shrimp remain well in tact long after the shell is removed. I only wish I didn't have to go through the painstaking process of peeling them. WHY IS THIS NECESSARY?!?!Whining aside, I'm giving the shrimp a 9 out of 10.As it stands now, I'm rating this place solely on the food experience, since I haven't actually set foot inside the restaurant itself. Though, if this is any indication, I doubt I'd be disappointed. Next order I make, I wanna focus on the salt n' pepper shrimp with egg fried rice. I only hope they don't have a problem customizing with extra egg and no peas. Tonight, I'm giving Mei's Kitchen 4 savory bowls of egg drop soup chock full of egg whites out of 5.

awful attitude! the worst customer service but i guess that's an el paso thing? horrible food and the worker was on his phone the whole time we were ordering. sticky tables, food on the floor, you are much much better off ordering Panda Express for a much more pleasant Chinese dining experience than Mei's kitchen could offer you.
