Matta's Burger Place

Tasty hamburger made to order. Was happy with the quality though the burger was a bit on the dry side. Fresh red onion, iceberg lettuce and pickles with mustard. Service was quick. There are two outdoor tables but with the wind whipping up dust, I took my burger to go. I recommend this spot.

The cheeseburger was excellent but the true star was the curly fries! The service was great and we will come back the next time we're passing through!

My wife and I stopped here for a burger after our elopement at Calera Chapel. It was absolutely the best burger west of the Pecos I have ever had! We will stop here every time we are out in Far West Texas. The ladies working were so friendly and kind. You won't regret eating here!!!

Really did not want to leave a bad review as I've worked in the food service insustry, however this place really left me and my family bummed out. They were a bit busy but even then, we waited a long time! Almost 45 minutes for 3 burgers. We realized we were missing a burger after all that waiting, and after going back they didnt even write it down. They were nice enough to offer to make us one again, but after waiting almost an hour for 3 burgers, the least we wanted to do was wait again for another one. Even the lady before us was missing fries from her order. The food was decent though.

Was hungry for lunch while driving through western Texas on the I-10. Saw this pop up on Google and gave it a try. It is just a mile or two off the freeway and it is literally a shack with a porch out front and to the side. Ordered a mushroom burger (Awesome), chicken sandwich (very good), fries (Solid), and chilli Cheese dog (Very good, like what you would get at a little league baseball game). Lady was friendly and since these are cooked to order, I can see how it might take a little while to get the food, but IMO worth the wait. if you are in a rush rush, maybe go to a fast food joint or something.

Burgers were good, tater tots were great! Super friendly. Cool "shack" with front porch for dining.

Driving on I10 and searched for a place to eat. This came place had great ratings. I had the cheeseburger and my husband had the mushroom swiss burger. Huge burgers and very good. Made fresh. Highly recommend stopping here.

Hands down, delicious burgers !!!!! I loved the fact that it was hand made, thick, juicy meat patties and not the frozen market patties either.

The burgers are so good! I'm glad I existed the free way on my way to Houston here. Beautiful town and good burgers!
