Great service, fast and efficient. Casual ambiance. The food was good to pretty great. Rice and beans are rice and beans, but the gordita and taco were excellent. My lunch companion said that the bacon was really great. Definitely check this place out for breakfast or lunch. Also, because I was trying to find out before we went, they serve breakfast all day. Most places stop serving breakfast by 11am, but not here.

Made a quick morning stop before we head back to Houston. Food is bland I got huevos racheros and the eggs were runny not what I imagined huevós racheros to be there was added cheese on top no my preference. Sorry but I have to give this restaurant 1 star.

The menudo is fantastic. We also special ordered this melted cheese thing where they added jalapeños and chorizo to it. It was great with tortillas.

It's like going to your grandmas house. Scratch made everything. Beans made with lard, hash-browns crisped up with actual butter. Dont come here if you are health conscious. This is real deal OG mexican cooking. Chilaquiles are on point, ask for them extra hot they have a separate sauce for the brave ones. Trust the belly, this place is damn good. Two meals for less than $20! Hard to find restaurants with this value anymore.

We were on the east-side a few Sundays ago, at noon, and we were jonesing for a Mexican Breakfast. As we began our "grail" quest, we found Martha's. My wife ordered chilaquiles with rice and beans. I ordered Huevos a la Mexicana, beans, hash browns, and a side of bacon. Overall, all of the food was outstanding. There are a lot more items on the menu. We came in for breakfast but the dinner menu looked really good as well. Also, the hamburger patty and fries (that's all my son eats nowadays) were tasty. Oh oh I almost forgot, I think they buy store-bought flour tortillas but they are as close to homemade as you can get. My wife gives them four stars which translates to five on anyone else's review. (For those of you who don't know, read my reviews on other places and you'll see why my wife and four stars are really special.) And while I'm not an easy grader, think middle school P.E., I am way more forgiving than my wife. We live on the Westside so coming all this way is a bit much (my wife thinks Bassett Center is Horizon TX). But when we do find ourselves on the Eastside, this is our place.

It's okay. The Machaca was kinda bland . The Menudo was nothing stellar . A locals place for sure. Waitstaff not the friendliest . If you have higher standards might disappoint . It's cheap. Cheaper then Lucy's but I'll pay the higher cost for something nice like Lucy's West . Lucy's with that one cook really blows this version out of the water .

Great menudo. Amazing customer service. Clean facilities and home style feeling. Recommend the breakfast. Been a patron for years and have not been disappointed.

I had the Mexican plate and it was amazing! The salsa was a bit sweet though but the service was fast! I'm going to come again and try other foods.

Martha's is a cozy hard to spot family run cafe. We found it only because we ran an errand at the tax assessor office and then decided to hunt down a nearby breakfast stop. We actually drove right by and my wife said "what about that place we just passed"? So we turned around and I'm so glad we did. Martha's son is the morning shift waiter, bus boy, runner and cashier. A very friendly and courteous service awaits all comers. During our visit the other customers were warm friendly and talkative. It is obvious there is a regular loyal clientele -not surprising since they've been here for 26 years.. If I lived anywhere close I would be one of them. For now it will become part of our Sunday after church rotation. I do intend to return very soon to try the menudo. It is offered every day which is very nice. One minor complaint- I do wish we had been offered chips and salsa when we sat down. But it seems to be the growing trend to drop these in Mexican restaurants so I can't penalize them for it. Highly recommended

Man O Man! Am I ever happy we chances into Martha's! Authentic, scrumptious big meal! I had the Mexican plate and it was so savory and delicious. My HoneyBear, had the Special which was red enchiladas and we didn't leave a speck of food in either plate! You need to eat here! Gracias, Martha!
