Early one Marfa morning, the kids were still fast asleep and my metabolism was not.Marfa Burrito was on my Yelp bookmarks, but I had reservations about the small hole-in-the-wall on the edge of town. I leaped anyway...My takeaway: MB serves hardy, delicious breakfast burritos with wonderfully-blended, slightly spicy green salsa... so good that I wondered why they only gave me two when I had three burritos.Anthony Bourdain (RIP) was here several years ago, however, he opted for the carne asada. I, on the other hand, was craving chorizo. It's not a style of meat I eat often. MB had "The Gordo" ($10) on their menu: Chorizo, eggs, beans, potatoes, & cheese served inside a sturdy yet soft flour tortilla. Both of my daughters received their classic eggs, bacon, and cheese mashup (around $9 each). So glad my burrito was slightly larger than theirs. :)The hole-in-the-wall has fan love for Ramona and her crew ALL over the place. Ramona was there on the morning of 2.17.2025! She was prepping red salsa and seemingly keeping watch on her employees.I'm a fan.RATING BREAKDOWNFood: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4

This is a must-stop whenever we're in Marfa. I honestly don't think you'll find a better burrito. It's everything you want a burrito to be and then some.Well-seasoned meats and veg, fresh ingredients, homemade tortillas. It's the whole shebang!

BIG BURRITOS HERE, and they are good too!Order at the counter and then enjoy at one of the many outdoor tables in either the front or back of the restaurant. We got the Primo (yum!) and it was big enough to share with another person. The Primo had some kick due to the jalapeños but the ingredients were flavorful.Celebrities like Matthew McConahey, Kevin Bacon and Anthony Bourdain have stopped in.

This was one experience I can say...should hands down be on your bucket list!! Especially if you are in the area, hiking or running in the nearby Fort Davis mountains. You will work up an appetite honestly just getting out here. The tortillas were the freshest I've ever had in life with copious amounts of bacon/eggs and that burrito was larger than my head. The cooks & service were of course what you would expect, west Texas hospitality mixed with traditional Mexican charm. Burrito didn't stand a chance with a photo but I am glad I got some pics of the touristy & fun Marfa. Lots to do in the area and explore history. Bring cash for your yummy burrito & load up on their fresh salsa. The trip was months ago and I still remember how incredible my breakfast was after exploring the mountains. GO!!

Lives up to the hype. Speedy service, great place to sit for the morning, delicious burrito. Hot and fluffy tortilla wrapped chunks of well seasoned pork in my Asado burrito. Kept me full for breakfast and lunch. Can't wait to return!

An authentic non-hipster taqueria. All burritos are $10 and the line moves fast. There's plenty of outdoor seating for those perfect Sunny Far West Texas days. Support your local taqueria!

Super famous, super fast, super straight to the point (which is how I like my burritos!)If you come here you'd better come HUNGRY and with a tolerance for some spiiiice. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food because the tortillas were super fresh, like, seriously amazing. You can definitely tell the difference between a homemade tortilla and a store bought one.

I rolled in here thus AM while visiting Marfa, as it had good reviews. I loved everything about this place...except the tortilla! It was dry and fell apart while I ate my breakfast. Disappointing. The inside ingredients were really good, though, and the salsa was tasty and just enough heat. I'd try again but mention the tortilla next time

Excellent chorizo, egg and cheese breakfast burrito. Large and flavorful, served hot and wrapped in real, hand-made tortillas. This is a REAL breakfast burrito, and probably one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! Service was a walk-up window, but it was very quick and very friendly. No attitude here other than an attitude of wanting us to have a great breakfast. Incredible hole-in-the-wall ambiance. This place reminds me of a place that used to exist in Marfa that had fabulous Mexican food called "Old Burunda Cafe". It's closed now, but at the time it was the best Mexican food for 100 miles.
