The owner David Van Auker is exceptionally helpful. He really knows his inventory. And he can really " read" his customers. He was able to find us exactly what we wanted and it goes great with our other furniture. He told me that he was an interior designer and that's probably why he's so good finding and matching furniture.

I have also never been to this shop, but after watching "The Thief Collector" I want to plan a trip to Silver City to check it out! The owners sound like great people!

There is so much really awesome stuff here. I got a nice little computer desk and a chair at a very affordable price. I came back to pick up the desk with my car, but the lil Hyundai Elantra was not getting that thing in the trunk. I was going to just carry it up the hill to my place with my partner cuz it was a small desk and we're staying just a few blocks away. But the guys who work there just threw it in the bed if their truck and took the five minutes to deliver it to us! So nice! I don't think this is a service they offer, so don't expect it, but since we were so close it was really nice of them. They didn't need to do that, but we really appreciated it!

I have never visiting the shop, but read a recent article in my Univ. of Arizona alumni magazine concerning how the owners purchased a lot of house hold decor from an estate sale in New Mexico. One of the items in the lot was a valuable painting stolen over 30 years ago from the University of Arizona art gallery. It's worth millions of dollars. The very honest owners of Manzanita Ridge tracked down the identity of the painting and it's been returned to the University of Arizona. Years ago the insurance company paid the claim of, I believe, $400,000 which the university has repaid now that the art work has been recovered. At the very least, the ethical, honest behavior of the owners of Manzanita Ridge should result in a hefty reward from the insurance company. No doubt this painting could have been sold by them on the dark market for a small fortune.

Rick and company are kind and generous people with wonderful taste, amazing prices, and completely great attitude: the customer is king (within reason!).Merchandise moves quickly. Priced to sell, quality used, high end furniture, the likes of which you will not typically see except at random estate sales.
