The Main Street Vintage Mercado is a great addition to the downtown Las Cruces scene. This is the perfect stop for shopping, sitting with friends, enjoying an Italian soda, coffee, or a paleta (Mexican popsicle). The owner is extremely friendly and her barista is equally welcoming. When you enter this establishment you are not just a customer but a welcomed guest. Some unique items you may find here: antique dishes, antique lamps, antique furniture, antique chandeliers, unique items such as antique pipe holders and fabric wall hangings. I have no doubt if you are looking for something in particular the owner either has it or will go out of her way to locate it for you. Further, the prices are VERY REASONABLE. As a collector of milk glass I am an avid antique shopper and I have a good handle on pricing. For example there was an antique chandelier priced at $95, and an antique end table priced at $30, and a ornate milk glass vase priced at $14 (I have seen this exact vase located elsewhere for double). I did enjoy a fabulous Raspberry Italian Soda, the perfect amount of flavoring, including whipped cream and a cherry. Super good!!! There are seats for relaxing with friends over a drink or dessert and the shopping is just a fabulous added bonus! Check back at this location as it has just opened and there is more coming in the future according to the owner. I will revisit!

I love supporting local businesses and have wanted to stop in for a while but the first few times we went by they hadn't put in their espresso machine yet so we decided to wait. They have since installed their machine so today we were able to get a quick lunch and it was in a word "wonderful." First the coffee. I just got a straight up café latte and it was great. The roast was perfectly balanced and I can say it was worth the wait. My wife had a chai latte which was also great. For my sandwich I chose the Norman Rockwell. I was a little nervous at first because I'm picky about my bread (no wonder bread for me, please) and I wasn't sure what Dave's Killer Bread was. But Dave really knows his bread and the sandwich was delicious. The atmosphere is eclectic but fitting and today we had a musician playing and singing Spanish ballads which was fun. There is also a little antique store that is worth browsing through. The only thing that would have made the experience better is the coffee cups are all disposable even if you are eating in and it would have been nice to have such a good coffee in a real cup. Regardless, this won't be our last visit and it is a great addition to Main Street. On a side note, 10 or 15 years ago my wife and I had a pumpkin soup in Germany that was amazing and has been for us the holy grail of soups. Since that time we've tried to find a recipe or to duplicate it by trial and error to no avail. But today we found that soup right here and it totally made our day. Finding that soup alone made the visit worthwhile.

The interior is pretty, coffee and tea is good enough for emergency. Owner is nice and so is staff if your not a coffee or tea snob I would recommend this place. This is not a coffee place it's a Mercado of sorts you can get coffee, tea, food, other items and also buy vintage items. If it's good coffee and local toaster your looking for Las Cruces isn't the place none of the folk compete in national competitions for competence of coffee bean and roasting and origins. The same applies to tea. This is a place for meeting up, snacking, and buying what las cruces considers vintage. I would recommend more gluten free items.

Paletas - Mexican popsicles - that's what we pop in here to get. Lots of choices. They aren't made on site but they are tasty and legit. Dang, I am a poet and didn't know it!Owner used to run Nessa's Cafe, so it's not a chain or owned by some random Santa Fe dude but hometown Las Cruces. Three little stores in one - like a true Mexican Mercado. Coffee shop, little ice cream shop (just the paletas) and a lovely little what not shop with antique glass and furniture which is NOT overpriced. Depending on what you are looking for it's either a nice browse or a very good find - depression glass was plentiful.Very friendly staff and owner. Rest a bit and have an Italian soda or popsicle. A nice addition to downtown!

Stopped in on a rare soggy New Mexico day to get some fresh off the grill comfort food. Not disappointed. Their master sandwich maker Luke whipped up this layered monster on freshmade sourdough bread. Turkey and swiss with the added mouth joy of BACON(!!), pesto, fresh tomatoes and some proprietary secret mojo. Nicely done.

On Sunday 5/2/2020, I'm cruising the streets of downtown Las Cruces on my bicycle riding on the sidewalks and Main Street and I ride on the sidewalk by the mercado. Johnny, the owner's son is there and said to me, " I can't ride on his sidewalk". I said that, " I think the city owns the sidewalk". He said, " fuck you" Said that to me twice. I don't know why, I have no beef with this person. Maybe he didn't like my last review or maybe he was high on drugs. I'm really glad that I'm not a customer there anymore. My rating is zero for this place of business.
