M & A Bayard Cafe

Eating at M&A is like stepping back in time and finding out your favorite Tia is in the kitchen, cooking your favorite meals. The service is terrific - fast and friendly. The ambience is small town diner where everyone knows everyone else, and strangers are family.The chile rellenos are perfect. The enchiladas, tamales, taco salads, empanadas, breakfasts...I've yet to have a bad meal here. Don't let the modest exterior fool you; the food & service inside will keep you coming back.

I was visiting my parents in Mimbres NM and wanted to take them out to some good Mexican food. They said we should go to M&A and I was excited about the food and I was not disappointed. I got some cheese enchiladas Christmas (both red and green chile) and it was so good! My parents said that the cafe and been around forever and that means a lot because my step dad is 95! the service was also fantastic and very homey. Only drawback is the place is fairly small so something to remember if you have a large party. Enjoy!

I'm not sure what all the rave reviews were about. The food was tasteless and there was a bone in my wife's dinner that almost gagged her. Never going back here!

Food and service always exceptional!!!! We try to visit every Friday night for their excellent fish fry.

This is clearly a Mom & Pop location, frequently occupied with locals, which is refreshing. Nothing much has changed in years. This visit to Silver City brought us to M&A for two breakfasts. Our waitress, Rochelle, was a delight. The coffee was refilled often and the meals satisfying. We had the large homemade cinammon rolls but missed the empanadas. We will return...hopefully M&A will still be there.

Randomly found while driving through the town after a visit to The City of Rocks. Mexican American food options available as well as breakfast. Had a great Turkey Bacon Club (big portion couldn't finish!) Staff is very friendly! I recommend to anyone wanting to try them out.

Me and my family have come here numerous times and are greeted by friendly workers. All of the meals ive tried here have been good except as of recent, I decided to try a chicken burrito with green chili on top. The green chili tasted watered down as it had no flavor at all, and it also had a strange gelatin like texture. I cannot give this restaurant a completely bad review because besides this one bad experience I've had many good ones.

Food is always good when i come here. The only thing bad i can say about this place is that its small and the service was ok. Other than that the food makes up for the rest. Overall very chill place! nothing fancy but it's just like a small town joint and getting something to eat! but seriously the food is good to eat! but every time i have gone there the waitress are not the greatest. unless your the only one there. or else i would of gave this place a 5 stars.

M&A was recommended by many locals. The fish sandwich was OK, but the fish was in the deep fat fryer a little too long. The Mexican plate chile relleno, taco, and tamale were excellent. Hearty servings.Fortunately we arrived before about 8 guys (from a local mine?) arrived so we got our food right away. We'll go back.
