We love this place. You get free wine tasting here. Isn't that amazing the wines are very good. They have reds and whites. Dry wine and sweets. Even a wanna bee port wine which isn't to bad. They have outside seating and a fire place outside. Seating inside if you want a glass or a bottle. The girl that served us over the holiday weekend was super nice. They have a lot of nice knickknacks and jewelry you can buy as well.

Delicious wines, locally grown grapes. We stopped in to break up our long drive. Free tasting!! Loved the reds, esp. Nini, a blend; not too sweet. Cynthia was our hostess, very friendly and informative. We ended up with 4 bottles of wine and a jar of hot sauce, locally made and perfectly spiced.

Was on a cross country road trip and stopped in this quirky little town in New México and found out they had so many vineyards and wineries! I didn't have time for a tasting, but really wanted to try New Mexico wine. So I went in and asked the lady for her recommendation, and she was incredibly helpful and even let me try two of them! The wines were amazing, and the place is surrounded by 32 acres of grape vines.

I didn't think I would have time in my day to swing by Luna Rossa but things worked out that I did. I drove down the frontage road waiting to see the place. When I came upon the nondescript building in the middle of almost no where I was wondering what was up. When I walked in I was the only one. Apparently they had just opened the tasting room for the first time in along time so I had just got super lucky. The fella there was laid back and friendly. We tried a few different reds. The cab was one of the best I had tried in New Mexico. The "NiNi" was a blend and was very good. It's actually was the most expensive which is for a blend. But it was really good so I got one of those too. While I sampled a couple other wines I wandered around the room. There was a few interesting things for purchase like glasses and stoppers. In the end I actually liked 4 different varietals. But they didn't ship to Florida :/I got 2 bottles for my check bag though. Very glad I found the time to stop by this unassuming place. Excellent wine.

The two women at the tasting room were unwelcoming, unhelpful and seemed bothered by our visit. We didn't even finish our tasting. The two wines I tasted were decent, but sadly I won't be back because of the service.

What a fun find of a good little winery in Deming of all places! We love to sample local wines when traveling and searched out wineries in NM in advance of a month long driving trip through the Southwest. We had Luna Rossa on our destination list because it was intriguing that this Italian born winemaker was bottling many Italian varietals, along with others, from all New Mexico grown grapes including many grown right there on his own 32 acre vineyard. Our only disappointment of the visit is that the winemaker, Paolo d'Andrea who with his wife Sylvia owns the winery they founded in 2001 was away visiting his home and we didn't get to meet him. We received an email in advance of our visit letting us know he'd be away, so we were prepared to drink wine in his absence and the young man, Sam, holding down the fort in the tasting room did a great job of introducing us to Luna Rossa's wine.Wine tasting here is free, with small free pours of anything bottled. We left with six wines, including Dolcetto, Nini (a blend of several Italian varietals), Shiraz, Conquistador (their port), a white blend called Symphony and Chenin Blanc. It's fun to know something about the winemakers and we learned Paolo grew up in the Friuli in a family with multi generation experience in winemaking and he has a degree in viticulture from an Italian college. His adventure in the US began in the mid 1980's when he was working for a big winemaking company in New Mexico to instruct the vineyard workers on pruning technique. Loving the area, he and his wife Sylvia began to lay the groundwork for what would become Luna Rossa in 2001.The love Paolo and Sylvia have for their work and pride in their product comes through in the bottle and in the wine tasting facility too. We recommend a visit to Luna Rossa. ACCESSIBILITY PS - for wine tasters who roll, worth noting that the winery has accessible parking in front, is level in and throughout, has accessible bathrooms - the only hitch in the giddeyup is lack of accessible height seating at the tasting bar. GOOD FOOD PS - As side note, Sam also told us that Luna Rossa has a restaurant serving delicious food in nearby Las Cruces. We didn't know that in advance of this trip or we would have selected that as a dining location on an overnight in Las Cruces a couple of weeks prior.. So, just passing that tidbit along so other Yeeps don't miss it! http://www.yelp.com/biz/luna-rossa-las-cruces

My wife and I went here with my daughter and her friend visiting us from Montana. The three ladies did the free wine tasting of 5 different wines each, I don't drink so I was the D.D. They enjoyed the different wines and brought a couple of bottles home. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable and suggested different wines according to their tastes. If you like wine this is a great place to go.

We found this very nice winery while searching for winery in the area near Deming,NM. Our wine tasting expert was so informative and friendly, at the time we were the only ones in the tasting room and she told us a great deal about each wine my husband and I enjoyed.
