We go here for the fresh bread and tortillas. They make it all there and you can watch! The tortillas are still warm when you toss 'em in your basket. The bakery has the best lemon cake ever for a market and their Mexican treats are terrific too! Branch out and try something new.Produce is beautiful and I have to agree with other reviewers, about the cheapest you'll find in town. Even if it is a few pennies more, at least I am not giving my money to the Walton's. And more often than not, they tell you where the produce originated! They have a liquor department that is small but in a pinch has what you likely need. Cigarettes only at customer service and on the weekends lines there are long. It's one of only 2 stores in town my wife can find her Polish dill pickles. Hooray! They won't have ALL the American selections you find at Albertson's or Wallyworld. But they may have a smaller brand that is better and helps a small business stay afloat. My money goes there.Everything about this store makes me happy....except their meat department. If you like to buy in bulk it may be a good place for you. But their meat looked sad and grey. My dad was a butcher so I may be a meat elitist! But I just can't buy it there.

I will start with the positives fiesta foods with have pretty much all the Hispanic groceries my mother was needing to get, my father was content with his baked goods he purchased and it was cheaper than Albertsons. The not so good was the check out register, it was the rudest most unhappy person to ring me up yet and I have lived in way bigger cities than LC. I am not sure if she was having a bad day, tired of her shift or just plain racist. If you live and work in a very Hispanic state do not be rude to your Hispanic customers. I treat everyone with courtesy and respect and expect the same. This cashier made me realize my shopping experience was not one I would like to experience again. The store is already dated and looks somewhat untidy so that attitude just didn't help the matter. Very unlikely I will return. Only two stars due to products .. would be less if they didn't.

Lowe's Fiesta Foods is a hybrid of Mexican & American supermarket. The place may look decades ago but the place has a huge selection of groceries for the home cook. If you are health conscious, this place is not for you because the bakery section will tempt you. Their frozen section as well as packaged foods are not the cheapest but their meat section makes it up for bargain shoppers. I like how there are lots of unique foods that are not found in Walmart.

Well let's not sugar-coat it and get right into this review: not a lot of name brand American items (predominantly hispanic); not many employeesresulting in lines (time wasted); lots of children running amuck (loud); the meat is low-grade & expensive $$ (double whammy); their produce is... a bit off (unripe fruit). All of the aforementioned drop the rating down from 5 to 3 stars. There really isn't too many deals and their pricing isn't competitive whatsoever when compared to walmart. It's a small store with about 1/8 of its entirety dedicated to beer, wine, and hard liquor. The bakery sometimes has some tasty treats... but they can be inconsistent. It's not the worst place to grocery shop but definitely has its shortfalls.

I find this to be one of the cheaper places for produce in town. Onions, tomatoes and potatoes are generally a good bargain. The other thing I get here on a regular basis is tortilla chips. They carry a brand called Ole that's about $1.20 here and $1.60 at Walmart. They're light and crisp and I prefer them over the National brands. Now, stuff like milk and frozen goods are generally pricier here than at Walmart. But Fiesta Foods has dollar store selections towards the middle aisles where I get my knockoff migraine pills and antihistamines instead of having to go next door to Dollar Tree. Cashiers have always been polite and quick for me.

I don't live in Las Cruces, but I shop here every time I come to town. I can find things here that are difficult to find in my home town. I recently purchased some garden pots that I just love. I know this isn't a typical item to buy at a grocery store, but they were on sale and are really nice. I wanted more than were on display and the guy stocking nearby shelves was really helpful in checking the back room for me. In addition to good Mexican staples, I like the produce section and the fresh tortillas.

We always enjoy the fresh fruit and produce! Also the meat market is a favorite. We can get some cuts that aren't always available at other local store. And of course the fresh tortillas are a family favorite! Thank u IGA!

Their breakfast burritos used to be absolutely incredible. I used to get one 3 or 4 times a week. Now I don't get them at all. The past few months they have gone downhill. The bacon potato egg ones are not bacon, it's just cut up gelatinous fat. Potatos are not completely cooked.

We were going through Texas in our Motorhome on our way back home to California. We have friends that wanted us to bring back some Hatch Chile's from New Mexico! So we did and this is the place a few stores in the area recommended to us . We got 2 big boxes , they roasted them for us and then We bagged them in baggies and froze them in our Motorhome. We got 25 bags of green Hatch Chile's!! Yum! Can't wait to cook!

I patronize this store because it features superior quality produce than 'corporate grocery stores' such as Walmart, Albertsons, etc. I also like the idea of supporting a locally-owned store which invigorates the local economy. I disagree with a review by B G. on 6/11/2018 who seems to think that 'corporate-style' grocery stores are the gold standard more to his liking. It's true that I don't buy meat/poultry at this store and its alcohol prices are higher than other stores (if that matters to most shoppers). There is a cultural niche that this store serves as it caters to a majority of the population in Las Cruces: Latinos. Cultural diversity is a positive attribute that differentiates this store from mass marketing-based, corporate grocery stores in this community.
