Commonly referenced as "Mendoza's," this establishment serves a variety of Mexican food.First thing to know: CASH ONLY!They serve a variety of typical tacos and burritos, and sell menudo on weekends. For a small town, it's not a bad place to go but food is slightly greasier than the place next door. For burritos, the Arizona burrito is a pretty decent option. The burritos could have more filling in them, which was disappointing because I usually expect fatty burritos kind of "bursting at the seams". I wasn't a fan of the chimichanga because it was kind of bland in flavor and they only give you a fork to eat it with. It'd be nice to see them sell burritos with some more veggies. They do have a nice red spicy salsa in containers, ready to-go.At this moment they don't have dine-in options and only have one table outside. Be sure to bring plenty of wipes and rags because it didn't seem like anyone was making sure the table was clean. You can call in your order or order when you get there. It says they're supposed to be open 24/7, however there have been a few times we've driven pass and noticed it was closed. The one thing I would really recommend is that their employees make sure to keep their masks on the entire time. The person out front had a mask on for a bit, would pull it down to talk on the phone, and then keep the mask below her chin for the next 10-20 minutes while she was putting orders together and placing utensils and napkins in bags...and this happened each time I've been there...

Not bad for a small shop. The color of the building is catchy. There's one table outside for eating but inside there's a few more. Small but cozy inside. The menu offers a bit of everything, though initially I wanted chicken taquitos (which they don't carry) I opted for the rolled beef ones and tasted a birria taco as well. The taquitos were crispy on the outside and soft inside beef was standard shredded, with not a lot flavor to them. Birria taco was a bit greasy, the flavor was pretty standard and had a small kick to it, it was left very chunky on the tacos as pictured. Overall a pretty standard place it does the job, pricing was fair.

The food and portions are still one of the best. The prices have been raised extremely higher. The staff needs to get a little more organized. However still enjoy the food.

If you are craving carne asada, this is the only place in Clifton that sells it. That's a tough pill to swallow when you are used to the crazy amount of options elsewhere. I'll be honest, that we would order weekly from here that was until we started to notice something. Once you finish your burrito, you immediately had to use the restroom afterwords, multiple times. Your stomach cramps in pain. I asked a few people that used to eat here and they said the same. Honestly, I am very sad. Their carne asada fries were delicious! Fresh guacamole and pico, you really can't go wrong. However, it's cheaper to buy laxatives then $9 on a burro that will have the same effect. I will really miss this place.

They have changed owners; but the menu is still the same. Prices have went up slightly but still the cheapest place to eat in town. Great Mexican food!

If you've found yourself here, then you've probably already discovered the lack of restaurants in Clifton/Morenci. I believe this is the only option in Clifton except for a gas station. Clifton's a working-class, no frills sort of town. This place serves cheap taco shop style food that fills your belly but does little else.

They always lie about how late they're open, they either close 20 minutes early or 10. they're in a blue collar town you'd think they'd stay open later.

We've been in this town for about ten years, there have been many food places that have come and gone but Mendoza's is still here! I'd say their burritos, fish tacos and birria tacos are the best. Pretty authentic Mexican food, and I'm picky being that I'm used to my moms Mexican food They used to only take cash but they finally started accepting cards a few years ago. We love their green and red sauces!

it's changed. The food is not as good whatsoever. They've cheated out miserably. They are way too expensive too! Waste of money.
