Los Compas

I'm a regular customer of this establishment and usually get good service from the waitress/ waiter. Today was the exception, my pint size waitress was less than stellar when addressing me. She provided coffee and refills which was good. I noticed The restaurant was busy and asked her about status of order. She stated they were busy with to go orders and apologize which was good- I told her it was ok. I had ordered Huevos Ala mexicana with beans . She brings back my plate with potatoes. I informed her it was supposed to beans and she said she would bring me a separate plate. I told her I did not want the potatoes and she grabbed the plate and stormed off as if I had screwed up not saying anything to me. I was caught off guard by this as I had just seen her interacting with couple who happened to be regular customers and she was so accommodating to them-lol . I decided that it was best for me to leave so I walked off without saying a word to her. Bottom line is that this particular pint size waitress needs some training on providing customer service. I hope she gets it together so other customers don't have to deal with her shitty attitude! As for me, I will take my business elsewhere.

Excellent service and beautiful atmosphere, but I specifically came for menudo and was disappointed because the meat was too chewy and in large pieces. My daughter had beef tacos and she said they were just ok. Freshly made and hot salsa with homemade chips are great! My search for the best menudo in town continues.

This is a very friendly home style Mexican restaurant with lovely food and generous portions. It is low key and comfortable. Great for families and kids. I've been eating here for years. The service is excellent but not overbearing. I would recommend it.

-Filthy carpet. -we got like 10 chips for a table of 4 (was told they ran out of chips. But they brought us THREE dishes of salsa?)-had to ask twice for beverage refills -after waiting over 40 min for our entrees, server came out to tell me they were out of what I had ordered.-not sure how much real "cooking" is happening in here, I could hear the microwave beeping non-stop -restrooms were clean, and strangely - smelled very nice. -ground beef was gray and flavorless-taquitos with shredded beef = inedible. beef was SO chewy-refried beans were good. -rice was unseasoned flavorless Skip this one. They've given up.

I am a loyal customer, fan of their food and service. But today, they pretty much showed me their indifference towards customers when they are busy. I was first to arrive to wait for a table, four people came in after me. Even though I was acknowledged when I first walked in, they took the other three people ahead of me. I normally don't pay attention to such pettiness, but the waitress made it a point to acknowledge that I was next, and still decided to sit people that came in after me.We are living in times of expensive dining experiences. I will not be going back to a place that pretty much wants me to beg them to take my money. It was good while it lasted.

What a disappointment. We ordered the relleno and chicharone burrito and guacamole to go. The chicharones tasted like old, spoiled oil and the relleno was almost impossible to find. The guacamole was terrible! Runny and smelled awful. Hard pass on this place.

One of my favorite places to eat in Las Cruces! The food is delicious (especially the chile rellenos and enchiladas. The service is excellent as well.

I honestly love this place, I'm here all of the time because I live close by. the food is so yummy and their prices are totally readonable. I always receive top notch service while I come here too. I leave this restaurant with a full belly and a smile every single time. thank you!

I was looking for Mexican food on a Friday on my way to Fitness One. I turned down this street thinking there might be something new since the last time I had been there. And I spotted Los Compas right there on the right. It's new, very different from the one just off Lohman. I haven't been to the original one lately, but this one is gorgeous.The staff is so friendly and happy, the menu has everything you would expect from a Mexican restaurant and the Caldo was superb. I will definitely be back since it's on my regular glide path.

One star is too generous. Server dropped a plate next to our table and never returned to clean up the mess on the floor. It was a disgusting sight and ruined our appetite. We asked several times for someone to clean up and both servers ignored our requests. The girl who said she was the manager responded that it would get done and for us not to worry about it! To add insult to injury, one of our orders was not delivered and another was wrong. No refills! No "is everything ok?" No service at all!!! Won't be back!
