I had to look at many reviews and spoke to a few roofing companies before deciding to go with Lone Star Homes Roofing. The reason it took such a long time to decide, was because I gave 4K to a roofer who took off and didn't do any work on my roof, about 5 years ago. I spoke to Chris from Lone Star, and he mentioned, he would not collect any money, until the project was started. So that helped ease my mind and I agreed to have him work on it. So just a few days later, the roof work started and completed, in 4 days. All the shingles, panels, and vents were replaced as I requested. It rained a couple of days after the roof install and no leaks detected, at this time. Great Job and Chris is a true professional who came through with what he promised. I recommend Lone Star Homes Roofing to anyone.

Most unprofessional roofing company I have ever used. They did a terrible job and when I complained, told me that I was in the wrong and terminated their warranty. Chris will also threaten to sue you if you leave a bad review...

Chris and his crew CAUSED DAMAGES TO MY PROPERTY. They broke the carbon monoxide vents of the water heater and the furnace in my house. They also, among other damages, made a hole on the drywall by the water heater when they forced down the vents. On the same day, I notified Chris they had broken the carbon monoxide vents. He defensively replied that "pipes [did] not break" and that they could "resecure" those vents with tape. Soon after receiving Chris's reply, I consulted an expert and "... CAUTIONED me that broken exhaust pipes could not be fixed with just tape because CARBON MONOXIDE was a very serious business as people could die overnight".After I expressed my concerns above and explained to Chris that 'I had already lost family members due to carbon monoxide poison", [he cynically dismissed my concerns by] telling me, "This seems to be more of a problem than it really is"'. He began to harass me, and threaten me.Four (4) days right after Chris claimed the roof had been replaced, he retaliated against me that (1) I was going to be served to go to court and (2) he was going to "file a police report for theft of services" and "put a lien on [my] property" if payment check not ready. NOTE: I was NEVER OPPOSED to paying Chris for his work done, BUT I emphasized I NEEDED those damages to be fixed!Out of the total amount he charged for his work, a fraction was used to pay two Service Companies to fix the damages caused in my property by Chris and his crew. When those damages were fixed, he was paid the difference with a cashier's check, which has already been cashed by Chris. He sued me and there is a Small Claims Case pending. I RECOMMEND AVOIDING SIMILAR NIGHTMARE by NOT hiring his services. He talks nice at the beginning but will show his true colors eventually. Now, I am afraid of any unforeseen mishaps that could result in the future such as leaks for they banged those heavy bundles of shingles against the deck when replacing the roof.

The boss Chris steals money from his employees. We work 40 hours and can't go past but only get paid 30 something hours. I seen 3 people come and go in the past 2 weeks. He doesn't take care of his employees either. I plan on getting a lawyer to get the money back I lost, I worked for free for over 3 hours.

I really hoped that I found a good roofer. We have crazy weather in El Paso County and a great roof is needed to handle the stress of our excess heat, heavy rains, and such. After calling several roofers, we decided on Lone Star. Chris seemed to be a nice guy, offered us a lot, but sadly failed in the delivery. We noticed issues when the roof was initially completed and Chris sent his crew out to "fix them". And then it rained... inside my house. We called, he sent his crew to "fix the leak". And that night rained, in my house... so we sent another message that it still wasn't done correctly. We were told that they would be out to fix it.. now, over 2 weeks later and through many rain storms.. nothing. No one has called, replied, come out. I guess getting new business is more important than doing the job right the first time.I highly suggest you do your research and check out a company before hiring them. We believed the hype and our home is suffering because of the lack of care from this company. Pitiful.

We looked for a roofing company with great ratings. We found them and immediately Chris helped us get the job started. They were there on time cleared off old roof and the new materials arrived. The job was finished in 1 1/2 days. We are pleased with the work and the snow we had was a good test for the roof. No leaks! They were polite and very professional! Thanks El Paso Lone Star Homes Roofing Systems!!

They are unprofessional from the owner down to the employees. They tired to fix the broken stucco with tar. And tried to convince me that's how the job is done. Got mad when asked to fix the issues I had with the roof. Don't recommend them at all.
