Literarity Book Shop is a gift to El Paso! If you're looking for rare and unusual books, signed first edition and regional titles, you have come to the right place! Literarity Book Shop is a treasure trove of books! It was a treat, and unplanned stop as we were running errands on the westside of town, and remembered to stop by on the recommendation of a friend. The visit did not disappoint! It's located in Peppertree Square, nestled among tall trees, in the most beautiful courtyard I've ever seen! Bill is the owner, and what a delightful person! He took the time to talk with us, showed us several titles by regional authors, and made us feel welcomed, and right at home! I found the books to be fascinating, and all in such pristine condition. I did purchase an autobiography, and a book on the history of retablos. We most definitely will be returning, and I give Literarity only the highest praise and marks! It was a great way to end a busy Saturday! Now, to reading those new books!

I've never been to a book store with such a wonderful owner. Bill was so incredible in helping recommend books that my friend and I would like based on our interests. He has a lot of books within a range of prices and value, from used popular books to new releases to rare pieces. He was incredibly friendly and had such great recommendations from horror to cooking, which is my favorite and my husband's favorite, respectively. I also love that he has books from authors with diverse backgrounds and that he also values and features books from local authors and poets.My friend was able to get a signed first edition of Cujo and another book signed by her favorite author. I grabbed a Prada Marfa book, one that's very limited in print.

A charming and lovely book shop tucked into the corner of a shopping center on the West side of El Paso. I am in love with their world history section. Very friendly owner. Wish I lived here so I could join their book club.

You like small, curated bookstores operated by knowledgeable and friendly guys? Random cut-price treasures arranged and grouped lovingly on bookshelves and in random piles. They may not have everything in their small space, but they certainly have _something_ for the curious reader. My perfect small independent bookstore might be a little larger (and serve slightly more coffee) but this modest gem is certainly worth a visit.

I love supporting local small business owners and Bill's store did not disappoint. He helped me find just what I was looking for. I appreciate his dedication to knowing everything he has in stock and the touches he put into his store. Scrabble tiles on custom tile holders provide a whimsical and witty touch to finding your way around the store. All people who entered were greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. If you need a book and he doesn't have it he will find it for you.

We stopped in yesterday on our way through town and the selection was wonderful, pricing was good. Lots of stuff we had been looking for for months! Owner had a very helpful knowledge of everything in the shop and will help you find what you need. Also has a wealth of knowledge about the authors themselves. A perfectly cultivated bookstore!

I heard of Literarity a few years ago and always wanted to visit. Fortunately, I was able to visit on my last day in town before moving out of El Paso. I had recently graduated, and was looking for a gift for myself and a friend who also graduated. I had some ideas in mind and Bill, the store owner, was able to help me track down exactly what I was looking for. My friend and I love his book recommendations!Even though it was near closing time, he took the time to chat with me and did not rush me. We talked a bit about our journeys to where we are today and where we are going. He was very kind, offered me his contact info in case I needed help to where I was moving, and even gifted me the book that I had chose for myself. Literary is a hidden gem within the hidden gem that is El Paso. I am so glad I was able to visit before I moved away and regret not having made more visits prior to moving. Given all that El Paso has been through in the last several years, these books are nostalgic reminders of my wonderful time living and studying in El Paso.Thank you so much, Bill, for such a fond way to leave El Paso.

My favorite stop traveling to a new city is a local bookstore. I can spend hours going through the shelves, head tilted to read the titles on the spines. In a bookshop full of books, you can feel, sense, the incredible density of thought, effort, and time within the innumerable pages.Friends, that density is organized, curated, and well-labeled in the 8-year-strong Literarity Book Shop in El Paso Texas. Stacks of the latest releases sit amongst shelves thick with well-curated good-condition used books in a spacious single room, all in front of an impressive back wall of first editions and rarities.This really is a bookstore for anyone--my partner and I knew what we were looking for, but I'd bet from Bill's welcoming, friendly manner and years of experience that if you didn't know exactly, he'd get you the answer within a few questions. Thank you Bill! We'll be back the next time we come through town, no doubt.

The owner Bill is truly one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met, and he is very personable and easy to converse with. If I could give this place 6 stars I would, every time I come out with 4 new books and a wealth of new recommendations. Really a hidden gem!

The selection of books were stellar. There was a wide variety of translations, genres, authors, and time periods. The store itself was cozy and peaceful. The man running the store was extremely helpful and was great at giving recommendations. He had so many of the books I was looking for, and many surprising books. I would highly recommend visiting this book store.
