Leo's Mexican Food

This place was so awesome! The vibes of this place are super cute. The chips and salsa were so tasty + the strawberry margs made this place a 10/10. The beans are the best part :) Service was amazing! We went by the waiters recommendations and it was well worth it! Definitely will be coming back

So it all started this weekend- I had been teaching back to back Pilates classes and then going to the gym to work me out and by the time I got home I was craving meat. Juicy, fork tender meat. Leo's came to mind but was a bit far and I was exhausted so I ordered delivery of carnitas from a place closer to my house- big mistake- the food was good but did not hit the spot. The craving kept growing g all week and I just went there on my way home from running errands and it was well worth it. The carnitas were perfectly seasoned and seared and fork tender. They came with a little lettuce and tomato and guacamole, beans and cheese- no rice which was perfect for me. Ahhh yes- they were so good and hit the spot!

Leo's was such a great place for authentic Mexican food :) ! And it was so conveniently located within walking distance of my hotel :) ! I came here on a weeknight, was seated and was tended to and served right away :) ! The staff there greets and welcomes you there right when you walk in :) ! The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays :D ! I was given fresh chips and salsa right away to munch on while I waited for my main entree! The Horchata and Leo's taco salad with chicken were so fresh and delicious :) ! I was truly filled up and content :) ! I will definitely come back to Leo's the next time I visit the west side in El Paso :D !

When we arrived we waited for about 20 minutes for a table. Drinks were good nice size for under $9 which I enjoyed! I ordered the fluntas and they had a nice crispness to them but the chicken Inside was completely dry. Also got to try their dessert and that was tasty as well. The restaurant is very spacious with interesting decor.

When I saw baked enchiladas on the menu, I knew I had to try this place. Unfortunately they're nowhere near the quality and flavor of the baked enchiladas we had back in the Midwest. However they are better than the non-baked variety sold at most places. The red enchilada sauce seems like it gained its color from food coloring? And not from peppers, as it had a clear consistency and was very mild flavored. Service was great. Serving portions were large. If you're looking for a place with a nice atmosphere to bring family and friends, have some drinks and you prefer the food to be on the mild side, this is a good place. If your main goal is to find Mexican food at its best, there may be better options.

1. Chips were soft & chewy. No "snap" to them.2. Ordered 3 tacos, 1 ground beef, 2 shredded chicken. I can make better. The ground beef was greasy. I came across a nice big bone in my chicken. Food was cold, taco shells were hard & chrwy. Beans/rice were meh, at best.3. Service could have been WAY better. Never asked if we wanted water/drink refills.4. Hubs ordered Chili Relleno. It was covered in cheese. Came with flour tortillas?Companions ordered Steak Tacos & Carnitas Taco. Meat was dry. Rice/Beans cold.Maybe we were there on an "off" day?It's a local staple, but. I don't think we'll be back.

Maybe my experience would have been better if I ate there. Stayed at a near by hotel and ordered take away, I paid and wrote 0.00 on tip line as I was planning to leave a cash tip based off how quickly it was prepared. I usually leave 3-5 bucks for takeout. Order was said to take maybe 10 minutes waited about 25 minutes and food felt cold ( it was) but I was tired from a day of traveling and hungry and just didn't want to complain so got food and left no tip. Plus had no utensils so had to ask front desk for some. Reviewed my credit card and was overcharged 10.00 dollars....why would I leave a 10.00 dollar tip for a 14.00 dollar to-go order. Food was okay,the portions I received were less than adequate nothing special about Leo's found much better options nearby that didn't rip me off.

So we went back and unfortunately the we had a different server this time. Her attitude wasn't bad just not thrilled to be there either.The food was good, but nothing to be too excited about. The soup was very good!The kids split a kids meal and got sopapilas. We ordered burritos so didn't get any. So sad!

This restaurant gets a lot of service from guests staying in two hotels across the street. I've had better Mexican food in many parts of California.

Went to order a to go order of desebrada tacos and a desebrada burrito. I paid $20 with a $2 tip included in price. I asked for a complimentary box of chips and salsa to go. They said they didn't do that. I asked what was the difference if I had sat down ordered water and then bagged the order to go. I would have received chips and salsa. The girl stated sorry she didn't set prices or policy. Felt gipped.
