I visited El Paso for a work trip, and was delighted to see that I'd be in town on the last Thursday of the month. I took a free walking tour with Marcos, who helped create and has been leading the Last Thursday art tours for the last several years. The tour started at 6:30 from the central plaza/park in town, and we wandered around town for a good 2 hours or so. We got to see a bunch of cool art (I bought some neat stickers!), some music, and there were opportunities to buy food. My favorite part was learning about the interesting history and architecture of El Paso. I'm not an architecture buff, but those who are will probably be familiar with architect Henry Trost. He has a ton of neat buildings in El Paso, all very close together. I learned cool facts and trivia about El Paso on the tour that my friend who has lived there for 6 or 7 years doesn't even know!I highly recommend taking Marcos's Last Thursday tour!
