Las Ventanas Apartments

Amenities, landscape and the actual apartments are pretty nice BUT they have a scorpion problem. Found a live one in my living room, a baby scorpion in my bathroom and a dead one in one of the light fixtures. Id give it five stars if it weren't for that. I do recommend, the price is fair for what you get. Also to add on, being a downstairs neighbor isn't fun. I guess the walls are pretty thin because I could hear every step the upstairs apartment tenants made....

If I was able to rate this place with zero stars I would. The apartments and style is beautiful but the staff is a different story. While me and my husband whom is in the military was apply to this place everything sounded great. We wanted to move in by 4/20, which they had units available. One thing I didn't appreciate was once we got the paper work and begun to fill it out in office there was someone from maintenance ( I am assuming because of his uniform he had on) came and tried to scare another worker and held a loud conversation with her. Me and my husband filled out the application on Friday 4/12, received a call on Saturday saying everything was good just needed to get renters verification from another apartment I stayed in. I Told D ( the lady who was helping us) I will have the info for her early Monday morning. I called at 10 am and was told D was on lunch and she would be back at 12:30 pm. I called again at 1 and she was still not back in so I left the number she needed for the place. I called again at 4 pm before work and was told she will be back in 5 minuets. I never received a call back from her. My husband called at 5 pm and still wasn't able to get in touch with her. Two days pass by and we didn't hear anything. Thursday comes around and I finally got in touch with her. She said she was off on Tuesday and Wednesday. I told her I was calling her all day Monday and never got in touch with her. She tells me " I'm so sorry to hear that. I was here Monday". Told me she wasn't able to get in contact with the renters place and that's what we really was waiting on. 3:00 pm me and my husband decides to go down to the office. She is there and said she spoke to someone but they was going to lunch which was about two hours ago. Then looks at me and my husband and ask if we want her to call again. At this point I'm mad. Then she looks at us and tells us to be prepared to put another deposit down. We asked why and she said cause our credit wasn't good (which was a lie). We left and went home. She also told us her manager has to approve our application which we had filled out a week before, so I don't know why it still didn't get reviewed. Around 5:50 pm (remind you the office closes at 6:00pm) D calls my husband and said our application was denied. He asked why and she said she wasn't able to get in contact with the place. While my husband was on the phone with her I called the place myself. Spoke to the lady D spoke to earlier and she told me she hasn't received no fax nor has anyone tried getting in contact with her. I asked D what reference number did she have and this woman makes up a number that wasn't even close and to remind you I never gave her a reference number in the first place because all she asked for was a phone number. So she lied about that. She said she was going to give them a call and speak to them. 6:00 pm hit and I knew the office was closed. We didn't hear back from D. She called Friday 4/19 morning to tell us our application was denied again. No reason this time and by this time, me and my husband didn't care. That same morning we applied to another apartment, received a call a few hours after applying and got approved. We moved in that Saturday 4/20.

My husband and I were stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. We lived in Las Ventanas for over a year. We were great tenants. I spent most of my time there alone since my husband was deployed to Jordan. We did not have children or pets. When we got ready to move into our house, we cleaned the apartment. There were not any stains on the rug anywhere because even though it was a two bedroom, I merely stayed in the bedroom since I worked so much. They billed us atrocious costs to help pay for the new carpet that they were remodeling the apartments with. We received a bill for over 900.00 because they wanted us to help offset carpeting costs. There was nothing wrong with our carpet or apartment, they just wanted to buy new carpet but on our dime. It is terrible! This is a nightmare! Military people beware, they know that you will pay the money to keep your credit clean. I will report them to the base commander as well. I can't believe this place did this. It is almost still so hard to believe that this apartment complex and company is that unethical. AWFUL...MILITARY PEOPLE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU IN THE END.

First off I hadn't lived in an apartment for over 12 years and I lived there for a year, so I wasn't real thrilled about living at any complex. The experience was a pleasant one. The staff were really helpful and very professional. My application was processed in a timely manner and the leasing agent showed me a few nice model apartments to help me choose what I was looking for. I had a few maintenance issues while living there and the maintenance staff fixed the issues right away and kept me updated on the status of my work order. Now let's talk about the grounds, what a beautiful place. You wouldn't guess you were in El Paso living here. Most apartments overlook a courtyard and have picnic tables and BBQ grills. The pool is amazing and also has a hot tub. Just off of the pool are the gym and laundry room which is convenient when you want to relax while doing laundry. The clubhouse is very nice also but is only open during business hours. I enjoyed my stay there and if I had to go back to an apartment I wouldn't hesitate to move back. The rent is slightly above average but with the amenities that come with make it well worth it. Its a nice quiet community in itself. There is also a nice park next door that is great for kids and also has a jogging path around it. Another decision point for me was the location. Everything you could possibly need is very close, but yet where this complex is located, it's not in the middle of a congested area. I would and have recommended Las Ventanas to friends.

Las Ventanas has been my home for over 5 years and it was the best decision to move here. Lizette Jasso and all the friendly staff have made it a beautiful place to live and call "home". The quiet grounds are well-kept and manicured and I enjoy the mature shade trees and manicured grassy spaces. The pool and jacuzzi have been instrumental in my health and quality of life and I could not be more thankful. The proximity to the park, the gym, nice neighbors and resident events have provided me tremendous joy and peace of mind.I highly recommend Las Ventanas. It is a great value to live here at such an affordable price.
