The sign on the leasing office still shows Sat hours. However, I was told they don't currently open on Sat.

I lived at Las Norias very briefly when I first moved to El Paso. Initially, everything seemed fine. Rocio (the manager) and Lorenzo (the maintenance employee) were both warm and welcoming. However, I believe I got very unlucky with one of my neighbors who lived in the unit right behind me. He kept bumping up his music (which completely made my walls vibrate, especially the walls in the kitchen), and forced me to listen to it, especially into the evening when the leasing office had already closed. At first, I tried to let it ride. But because I didn't get any peace and quiet when I was at my apartment in the evenings, I finally had to bring it to Rocio's attention. She tried to talk to him to respect his neighbors around him. But he still didn't listen. So I had to file a complaint again. Subsequently, she notified the courtesy officer who lives on-site at the complex. Then she instructed me that, if my neighbor continued to be disrespectful with his loud music, that I can call the main apartment leasing phone number, and choose option #4 to speak to the courtesy officer. It seemed to work when she warned my neighbor again to tone down and lower his music volume, more than likely because he was aware that the courtesy officer would come knocking on his door if I complained directly to him. But much to my dismay, I had to tolerate my neighbor's disrespect for almost 4 months before it was truly resolved. I couldn't really get enough rest and sleep, which was really critical because I worked rotating shifts at my hospital. I didn't get around to using the community pool. However, most of the families in my complex seemed to enjoy it. Other than the pool, there is a small gym and also laundry machines next to the leasing office. I was bummed that the community mailbox area didn't even have a slot for outgoing mail, which meant I always had to find a blue USPS mailbox whenever I was out and about, or I had to stop at a post office to mail out simple letters and cards. When I had to move out last month, I was bummed that there were no leasing office hours on Saturdays as the sign advertised. I found out after speaking with Rocio, and Stephanie (the new part-time leasing specialist). It was very inconvenient for me because I finished my last day of work on a Friday, and it would have been nice to wrap up and close out everything on Sat. But instead, I had to go through the hassle of getting all my stuff moved out and loaded into my POD container by the Thursday prior, then finishing my last workday on Friday, and then coming back to the complex after work that Friday to return my keys. I'm not sure if I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone because of my bad experience with my neighbor, and also because of the inconveniences. I'm sure if I had lived next door to nice families or decent professionals, my experience would have been completely different, and I might have enjoyed my living experience more. I also really think that if there are no leasing office hours on Sat, the sign and also the apartment complex website should really reflect that the leasing office is only open from Mon - Fri from 9 am - 6 pm. This is the first apartment complex I have ever lived in that did not have outgoing mail slots in the community mailbox area, and is not open on Saturdays.

The ONLY reason this place deserves three stars is Lorenzo (maintenance) and Angel (front office). They are amazing individuals who deserve all the praise in the world for the amount of hard work they put in consistently. My wife and I moved in early August of 2018 with high hopes and expectations after a pleasant tour -- unfortunately, those diminished quickly to frustration and despair. Initially, the country club was a nice perk included with our leasing agreement at Las Norias. After less than a year, that amenity went away as it closed indefinitely. Below are several of the many reasons we couldn't wait for our lease to be up:1.) Outdated Appliances -- the smoke alarm would go off every time something would be pulled out of the oven (knob's temperature was off 50ish degrees with no fix). There was no smoke or steam emitted when the alarm would blare. Also, the dishwater and air conditioner both failed during our stay.2.) If you live near the pool, the fish bowl design will bless your ears with whatever one chooses to play on their portable speaker. Students beware!3.) LEAKS! In the first week, we had water coming through the light fixture in our shower from above. Throughout our stay, water would come in through the living room whenever it would rain more than a sprinkle. We ended up placing a towel as a precaution whenever rain was in the forecast.4.) Noisy upstairs neighbors! If you must move here, do NOT live downstairs unless you're prepared to hear footsteps, muffled conversations, and urine splashing the toilet bowl from the folks above you. We were lucky enough to have two children and two dogs who loved to run laps back and forth throughout quarantine. Our final night, we were awakened to the TV upstairs and heavy feet at 1am. The cheap wood construction makes for interrupted sleep and constant tension.5.) Finally, pet poop. Most mornings, especially into the hot summer months, we'd be greeted at our front door with the smell of fresh, steaming fecal matter as there is little to no accountability for residents who fail to pick up after their pet(s). I recommended DNA stool testing like other apartments utilize, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Oh, and I almost forgot about the 3am stray cats mating outside our bedroom window. That's an alarm clock we could have lived without. Over the two years of living here, we noticed a steep decline in the overall culture. A quiet, welcoming community transformed steadily into one of disrespect and an overall lack of self awareness. While there were a few friendly residents we encountered regularly, their warm demeanors were overshadowed by the rest. I share our experience to give a fair warning to those thinking of moving here. I'm not posting this to discredit other contrasting posts, but rather to give our unadulterated personal experience.Proceed with extreme caution!

We moved from Dallas last year and the process was easy and smooth. Angel made it so easy to move in and was very attentive with everything. Once moved in, the community itself was a great place to live. Clean and Lorenzo the maintenance specialist was great and any issues that we had, which weren't many were taken care off immediately. Move out was also painless. If we ever comeback to El Paso, we will definitely look to live here again.
