I really enjoy the VIP section. Like first class it cost more but you get more. You can also listen to the live music while walk around looking at all the unique homemade things you can obtain.

La Viña is New Mexico's longest standing winery. It has tastings of 3 of your choosing for $10. They are open 12pm - 5:30pm Thursday through Monday and can be found along the Don Juan de Oñate Trail. Your tasting may be enjoyed in the tasting room or on their patio by their fountain. You can enjoy a glass or two on a beautiful day. They have a selection of dry whites and reds, semi dry, semi sweet, and sweet depending on your preference. Servers in the tasting room are there to help guide you in your selection.

Another successful La Viña Spring Wine Festival 2024! This year we decided to invest in the VIP passes, they were $100/person and well worth it! We were treated like royalty with a red carpet entrance and 20 ounces worth of wine tasting paired with delicious wine pairing appetizers and main dish samplings from RIPE, absolutely scrumptious! We also got VIP parking, private covered patio seating and 20% off all wine bottle purchases, and best of all access to in-door restrooms, no portable potties!!!! We also could enter the festival and walked the grounds and access to all food and vendor stands...totally awesome! This is their second year offering VIP passes, definitely worth the money! Thank you La Viña, we will see you next year!

If I was judging solely by the wines that I tried, this review would easily be 2 stars. But their charming estate, casual atmosphere, and fun company is what earns them 3 stars. Decided to do some wine tasting while I was in the area, and La Viña was my first winery stop for the day. The first thing that caught my eye was their charming little estate. I've seen grander estates, but this one was the most charming out of all the wineries that I visited in the area. It was also neat to learn that La Viña is New Mexico's oldest winery. I loved the brick arch near the entrance and their cute double balcony in the front. Inside is cozy and bright with mustard colored walls and wine barrels with glass overlays set as little tasting tables. They also have a huge lawn space in the back where they host several large events during the year. They conduct their tastings by pre-poured flights which costs $10 for 3 tastes. The pours are pretty generous and you can choose what wines you want to try. Service was pretty slow at the counter, but they only had 2 wine stewards working that day, so not sure if they were just short staffed. Since I had never tried their wines before, I asked for suggestions on certain varietals. Neither of the ladies could really describe or recommend anything in particular to me. This was disappointing, but I just braved it and picked out what sounded like the best for my taste.I tasted there Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, and Cab Franc. The Gewürz and Chard were way too sweet for my liking. It was almost syrupy like. The Gewürz was more on the floral end whereas the Chard was buttery. They weren't terrible, but not really my style. The Cab Franc was really, really light. I'd say even lighter than a Pinot which is unusual. It did have a nice earthy tone to it. Overall, I just wasn't all of that impressed. Even for table wine, I wouldn't purchase any of the wines that I tried. Their saving grace in my opinion was the friendly patrons in the wine bar. I met some really sweet people and we chatted for most of the time that I was there. People are really friendly here and this makes the atmosphere enjoyable. So for the social aspect, this is a nice place to chill and hang out. But when it comes to the actual wine and service, it's not all that impressive.

Thanks to the manager for allowing us to stay past closing! We enjoyed the patio and drank the sweetest wines EP has to offer! Beautiful spot for a part or wedding. Loved the ambiance! Would definitely recommend and come back.

I had not been to the winery in a long time and wasn't familiar with the wines. I asked to do a tasting and was poured a flight. It was challenging as I did not like one wine and didn't drink it. Had I been able to taste wines before I would have enjoyed it more and possible purchase bottles.

This is one of my favorite wineries in the area. They have a beautiful outside area with a fountain to site by or a large yard with trees to sit under. They sometimes have live music too. Their wine selection is very large and I suggest doing their tastings to see what you like. Of course the wine depends on your taste but I prefer their semi sweet selection. You can also purchase cheese and crackers to snack on as you taste. I would check the weather before coming as there isn't much of an indoor area so if you don't want to be hot, pick a cooler day to come.

All tastings for only $5. That's right. Taste them all for $5. CASH ONLY though. No worries, there's an ATM inside tasting room. The pours are super generous, way more than the splashes we get out in Napa. If only I would of known of this location back in the day, I would of rallied up the GFs and made a day checking out all the wineries in the area. This winery was the largest selection of wines to chose from, so no doubt you will find something you like. I went on a Saturday and it was packed. So, head out early. Their estate has outdoor seating and they even have live music during the warmer months.

La Viña let us stay in the parking lot on 11/16/20. We use the harvest hosts app which sets you up with wineries, farms, etc. so you can park your trailer in their lots overnight. Luz was so friendly and we bought a couple bottles of wine from her (the winery itself wasn't open because of the recent COVID shutdown). We drank the dolcetto ($19) which was fantastic, and we're going to drink the heritage ($26) on thanksgiving! Thank you Luz for your hospitality!!! Also you can walk the property and it's quite beautiful!! Although I'm from California, I will definitely be back one day!!
